Who should we be rooting for this weelend & next weekend, especially regarding other Big East Teams?

We should be rooting for Stanford to beat ND. A defeated ND team improves our chances for the Gator Bowl. Plus ND shouldn't be privileged to take one of the Big East football members bowl spot, especially when they are not part of the Big East football conference.

#1 Stanford MUST beat Notre dame and knock them out of Gator Bowl

#2 Louisville beating Rutgers would push them down further in bowl selection.

#3 UConn beating Cuse means theyll be Bowl eligible and wont be fighting for their lives when we play them.

#4 Pitt beating West Virginia might push the Cincy-Pitt loser to Gator but will help USF to Meineke if the opponent is UNC or VTech. A WV win means that the Gator could come down to WV or USF.

Of course we must win out

Cuban has a good list - Stanford, Louisville, U Conn, and Pittsburgh...

I might add:

Auburn win over Alabama would improve the chances for Cincy to get into the NC game, if only slightly...

Nevada over Boise State would eliminate the Broncos from BCS contention, which improves the very very slim chances of two Big East BCS bids...

Cincinnati over Illinois will keep the Bearcats undefeated, making our loss a little less painful (and the Big East image a little better)...

FSU win over Florida would make our win look a little better... even with a down FSU season...

Virginia over Va Tech would eliminate the Hokies from BCS contention, which improves the very very slim chances of two Big East BCS bids...

Sorry I haven't done them this season... haven't had the time to scan through all the conferences.

But I think the Big East will be:

BCS (Sugar) - Cincinnati

Gator - West Virginia

Meineke Car Care- Pittsburgh

International - Rutgers

PapaJohns.com - USF

St. Petersrug - U Conn

West Virginia seems to be dominating Pitt right now - and I think they are going to pull it out.....waht does this mean for USF and the big east? I guess we will have more of an opinion on the matter after tomorrow's Battle for the U huh?
