He was released and was back on the sidelines at Greentree Practice Field when the Hurricanes practiced Wednesday afternoon and told teammates and coaches he was ``fine.''But according to UM's injury report released Thursday morning, Fox likely will miss only the third game of his career Saturday. Fox sat out a 2006 game against Boston College with an elbow injury, and didn't play against Virginia Tech last season because of a sprained ankle. Fox currently ranks third all time at UM in career starts. Safety Ed Reed has the second-most in school history (48), only two behind William Joseph's mark of 50 set from 1999 through 2002.Junior Orlando Franklin, who has taken a handful of snaps at left tackle this season when Fox has been out, will likely slide over from left guard and start in Fox's place. Redshirt feshman Ben Jones, who has played in three games this season including Duke, could see some playing time at tackle as well.Freshman Brandon Washington, who saw a significant number of snaps last week, is a likely candidate to earn his first start at left guard in Franklin's place.• The good news from UM's injury report: Receiver Thearon Collier (ankle), reserve running back Lee Chambers (lower extremity) and cornerback Sam Shields (lower extremity) are all listed as probable. All three did not play last week against Duke. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/colleges/story/1353326.html
