I'd like to see Schiano go too, but for different reasons.

Right now Cincy seems like the better job. The Bearcats have been better over the past several years than the Irish. They have more flexibility in recruiting in regards to academics, though they're not bad (only team in the top ten with above 70% graduation rate). The sticking point is facilities, but I've seen renderings of Nippert brought up to around 60,000 seats.I think Kelly might go if ND decides to loosen up the academics just a bit (they did for Lou Holtz initially). And Kelly seems to be a pretty big believer in conferences, so he might also want them to finally join a conference. This isn't out of the question entirely, but I'd guess it would be a very unique set up because ND would want to keep their own TV, radio, etc deals and hold onto the cash. It would hardly be equitable. I doubt they would seriously consider it.Kelly will be up there. They will first try to throw a bag of money at Meyer. They might then pursue Harbaugh due to his success at Stanford. I think they really want a name and Kelly isn't it - though he should be their top candidate. I'm just not sure he'd like all the restrictions that would come with the job.Kelly can be the alpha and omega of Cincy football but would find it hard to break through the ND pantheon of Rockne, Parshegian, Holtz, etc. It's kind of like the thoughts of Schiano going to Penn State after Paterno. He can be THE guy in Rutgers football history. That wouldn't happen at Penn State. I really don't think Kelly to ND is any kind of a lock. He could go, but I think he knows he'll get far less scrutiny at Cincy. While I'm sure he does have an ego, I doubt it is the same as Weis' and he's far more low key. As I said, I think he's farther down their list. I think they try for Meyer. Try for Harbaugh. Try for Butch Davis. Davis might be the guy they really covet. UNC is not an academic lightweight and he's done well there considering it is UNC. He also has a good defensive focus while being able to create an exciting offense. If they can't get Meyer then they might surprise many and go full on for Davis. Though if Cincy gets into the NCG and wins it, Kelly will be their prime target.
