WKU to hire Stanford's Taggart as head coach

Those of you following USF Football since the beginning certainly remember Willie Taggart.

He'll be heading back to the old alma mater to be their new HC.

You may remember Jack Harbaugh was the coach of WKU back then, his son Jim (of NFL fame) helped at WKU and is now the Stanford HC.

That guy singlehandedly beat us in 1998. If memory serves me correctly, we were up 17 points on them at one point in that game.

This does not bode well for Smellyburger and FIU.  WT is a great recruiter.  He will have WKU at the top of the Sun Belt in no time.

Remember Taggart graduated from Manatee HS and won a state championship in his time there. Brion Carnes is a direct descendant in the line of Manatee HS quarterbacks (that also includes Tommy Frazier who is a god in Nebraska lore).
