Not that it matters but the announcers also commented that UL had to burn a redshirt today...I forgot who it was.

Don't we have guys playing on the outside that have played inside?  I know we've got Giddens and Forte redshirting, but I thought our depth was better than that.

Is Stirrups injured, or is his career as a Bull in jeopardy?

i still dont see why we are always so worried about "burning" redshirts.

i doubt a top 10 program is worried about freshman using redshirts.  if they are best guy available they will play...no matter what...

if they dont make an impact in 4 years...well its because theyve got someone else who did.

i'm not too worried about it.

Using a redshirt on someone that is going to play in most of the games is no issue.  Burning a reshirt on a guy for just a handful of plays is a waste of resources.

My point in making the observation was that it seemed odd (inside the stadium) that a kid would burn a redshirt in the 10th game of the season.  If a kid is ready I am ok not redshirting him, but it is late in the year.  Of course, thinking it through we are this at DT as Grissom is out for the year, Stirrups was out for some reason.

Having said that, Hill looked pretty big (not in a bad way) and showed a pretty good motor.

I'm still ok with it if he's going to get a good number of snaps.  It appears there was almost no reason to bring back Jamar Taylor this year.
