Build-Up Started Already For The UM Game (Tamiami Tango)

Down here in South-South Florida, WQAM 560 (Hurricane Flagship Station) is running contest promotions for the USF-UM game. They  are mentioning something about the new rivalry "The Tamiami Tango" starts November 28th and they are giving away trips to Tampa with tickets, hotel near USF/Busch Gardens and Busch Gardens tickets.

Appropriate name as Tamiami (TAmpa - MIAMI) Trail is the original corridor from Tampa to Miami.

Would be nice for a Tampa station to do something similar for next years game down here. Maybe once we beat the Gators next year, we will be able to peel one of the true sports stations off of the "Original 3"

Anybody got anything better than "The Tamiami Tango"....there was a thread way back that got into this.

Big O and Mandich blow down here...they hate the Bulls and Bucs and give us no recognition. 790 The Ticket and Dan Lebatard clean house on the ratings down here. Dan had Leavitt on for a lengthy interview when we were rising to #2 in the nation. QAM will be forced to talk about us since we are playing the flagship team.

Until we beat the gators next year...this is currently the "#2 Bowl" Of course it could be the State Championship if FSU somehow with nothing to lose takes care of UF.

I would have preferred 9-3 with losses to FSU and Miami, meaning we would have 1 loss in Big East and still contending for a BCS Bowl. Our Big East play this season would not allow me to consider this a successful season, although I can appreciate the importance of winning these instate games.
