Good to hear!  I'm certainly concerned about this, but am happy to see Leemow adding some good defensive minutes and point production.

He has a look in his eye that I am very happy to see.  He has supreme confidence in his shot.  He wants to make the other team pay for leaving him open to double Jones.  He had one good game early last season, but I get a feeling it is a new year for him.  A year under his belt, he knows what to expect.

Leemow had to be the story of last night's game for me. As you know nobody was more maligned about his poor shooting then Justin and for good reason. Teams would just leave him open and he would miss, and miss, and miss wide open jumpers. Those missed open looks caused us about 4 or 5 Big East wins.

Fast forward to this last last game and wow he looked like another player. He shot the 3 like a guy who was known for it and the one he hit deep in the right corner over a defender where he had to quick shot it was impressive. In the past that would have been an air ball. Leemow is one of our top on the ball defenders along with Howard, Mercer, and Jones(yes he is good on D now). Once Crater gets on the floor we are really going to be able to pressure the opposing teams guards. If Justin can hit the 3 at a 40% clip the freshman shooters on the bench will stay on the bench.

Credit to Justin for putting in the work the past offseason.

Agreed... Leemow is an unexpected brightspot...  if he plays the way he did last night... the freshmen might be relegated to mop up duty every night ;)
