We are almost always inside our own 25 yardline. Why can't we fix this? We all know the FG kicking is bad....but i think our Kick Off returns and Punt returns are a bigger problem. It was something we used to be good at. Now we are one of the worst in the country....WHY?I've heard people say depth...but since our recruiting has gotten better shouldn't our special teams depth be better? The momentum we have on offense when we start at the 40 is COMPLETELY different then when we start at the 15. Kick returners vision also needs to improve... it feels like ages isnce we've had a good return.

Are you kidding? We put two placekickers in a row into the NFL. The NFL adds like two placekickers per year. We've had some great kick returners over the years. You can say special teams haven't been great this year, but you can't say we've had problems since the program's inception.Even this year, I wouldn't say special teams have been a problem. We haven't been burned by long returns or lots of blocked kicks. We just haven't made a number of plays. It's been mediocre.

Mike Jenkins had one kick return in his career (I think) and it went 100+. Murphy had some big plays againt Auburn, but hasnt been back there since. Theo Wilson showed flash, but fumbles lost him the job. I think Lamar could make a great PR guy with open space, as far as kickoffs, the blocking isnt there so its moot. We have only 2 kickoffs go for touchbacks. The kickoffs usually lab around the 15. A lot of the opponenr'sdrives start at around the 35 or worse. Our returns are not a weapon at all. Placekicking is iffy at best.
