For those that want Leavitt gone, do you want us to lose the next three games?

A very interesting point... more relevant to the Notre Dame job obviously... but is there any relevance to the USF job as well, or does Leavitt walk on water like Bobby Bowden in Tally? I said at the beginning of the season I would rather beat FSU and UM and lose every Big East game... well... at least I still have a chance to get my FSU & UM sweep. If we were in Virginia, North Dakota, New Mexico, Minnesota, Kansas, etc... I could deal with finishing 8-4, 7-5, 9-3, etc. This is not the case though! We are located in an area loaded with talent... There is no excuses for us not being a top-15 team year in and year out. We've been in the Big East for four seasons now... Something has to give. Sadly, it starts at the top.

This is my first couple of hours really advocating a change at head coach so here i go.

I don't want us to lose any games...

At this point we REALLY need to get at least one win.

A win against Miami would be huge...

The rest of these games are one game seasons.

If we lose the next 3 and don't go to a bowl I really don't see how you can't do SOMETHING. IMO Leavitt will coach through his current deal.

I always will want us to win, regardless of my feelings toward our coaches (that includes basketball).

That said, if USF does win the last 3 games and makes a bowl game, I will still hold to my belief that Leavitt need to go.  Taking his own words, "our goal every year is to win the Big East".  He is 0 for 5 in that category, never getting above a 4-3 record.  This '13 year' excuse no longer flies. If this program ever wants to get to the next level, we must hold it to higher standards.

I would never want to wish USF loses a game. On the other hand if we are losing and can't comeback i want it to be so bad we can't help but make the changes that are needed. I want to finish the season 4-0 with a bowl win rather than 0-4 though.

we can wish leavitt gone or what not but the FACTS are that he's locked into a lucrative contract with a buyout bigger than our school can afford.  Like it or not, he's back for 2010 and most likely 2011.  Im not a fan of leavitt either but, you have to be realistic.  That is, unless any of you other millionaires want to help pitch in the 5 mil  :

where is our history that says we need to dump the coach cause we arent in the national title game??

sure, we all heard the espn guys say that bowl games arent good enough...but we havent won anything yet.  how are we firing a coach?  i think leavitt needs to make a public statement that the team is playing bad and it because he is overpaid.  then i think we need to get some stability with our coaching staff.

we have changed DC, OC, assistants, etc for years now.  and it is because leavitt is taking 60% of the pie.

When's the last time you saw any coach do that?  Even the zooker wouldnt be able to do that.  everyone in the football coaching business has too much pride, and usually, too thin of skin
