Bulls Are We Posted November 13, 2009 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 2,495 Reputation: 192 Days Won: 1 Joined: 11/23/2003 Share Posted November 13, 2009 The single biggest problem with this team is that we cannot sustain a drive on offense. Our only effective play seems to be "Go Deep!"It worked ok for FSU, Cuse and WVU.Not so much for Cincy, Pitt or Rutgers

I thought we were learning how to do that. But you are right. Take away the long ball and force a ten play drive and chances are we won't be able to do it. I bet he is laughing his ass off at us right now.

One screen pass to Wilson and it gained 37 yards but, never to be used again. One quick slant to Love for 40 yards but, never to be used again. Not one single play action either. Canales does know that you're allowed to run the same play as many times as you want right? Of course he does, BJ 5 step drop and then try to bomb it! Our coaching staff has no gameplan and fails to make ANY adjustments to the opponents.Ford had 9 carries and Mo had 4. Compare that to Martinek who had 25 for 100+yards. There was never a rhythm from the get go, therefore, the players looked confused and went through the motions the rest of the way.I am not a fan of deferring after winning the coin flip...especially with a young and fiery QB such as Daniels. Get him in a rhythm with his offense quickly, before he has to play catch up.

The rest of his playbook looks like this:

At least until we can find a way to get Lindsey Lamar the ball in space. The blitz and QB spy killed BJ and our offense tonight.

Here's a tip guys, go to youtube.com and watch all 8min of Lamar's highlights and emulate! The coach at Hillbourogh knew that you have to get him in space, throw screens, put him in the slot, and pitch the ball to him out of the backfeild but, our D1 coaches just can't seem to figure it out......laughable!
