Leavitt just always looked like he was too busy running other things, player substitutions got missed, teams weren't prepared, etc. So I hear this year we now have one. I sure hope whoever it is, we aren't paying him!I have never seen a college football team have such poor special teams. Sure, this first half was the most obvious example, but this whole year we have consistently had awful returns, awful kicking, and massive confusion (how many TOs have we wasted on special teams?).Not sure what needs to be done, but at this point I think any change is positive! I feel that our special teams stink and that Hendricks is the worst coach on the staff.

I'll let you fill in the rest. I disagree. f beamer(v-tech), considered one of the best at special teams, will play his best players. he uses starters that are considered NFL guys. That's unusual as most programs, including ours, use walk-ons and backups. It has nothing to do with heart and everything to do with talent.beamer is a good coach who realizes that special teams are 1/3 of a game. there is offense, defense and special teams.they win a lot of games due to special teams. With us, it's an afterthought. from roanoke.com:Beamer was one of the first coaches in the country to utilize his best players on special teams. Last year, linebacker Xavier Adibi and offensive tackle Duane Brown, a pair of NFL Draft picks, were on the punt-coverage squad."We put the best people we've got on there," Beamer said.
