Will this guy be ready for Friday? I just figured they were holding him out against UCF so he would be 100% for the Kansas game.

Maybe, and hopefully. I thought i read he got some work in, but no contact. I'm willing to bet he plays.

And Kelly appeared to be more bruising.

Perhaps they could be Thunder and...Thunderer?

Yeah even though USF has a plethora of talented backs, when playing a team like Kansas you're gonna need a guy like Ford.

I hope he is ready.  This is the kind of game where he can make a real national name for himself with a good showing.

Ford, Williams return to practice

Here is Tuesday’s practice report from Tampa Tribune correspondent Gregg Becnel.

University of South Florida RB Ben Williams (ankle) took part in practice Tuesday for the first time this week. He participated in kickoff drills and position drills during the first 30 minutes of practice, meaning he should be ready to go when the No. 19 Bulls (2-0) host No. 13 Kansas (2-0) on Friday.

“He looked good,†Coach Jim Leavitt said in a rain-shortened interview session after practice.

Leavitt also said RB Mike Ford (ankle) and WR Marcus Edwards (ribs) practiced. Edwards, however, was only a spectator during punt return drills.
