this "rivalry" is over.  dead.  buried.

For those of us watching on TV, we didn't get to see any postgame at all.  sort of an abrupt ending.

The shovel has been in other games, introduced mid last season after the 3 loss streak I believe. It signifies "keep digging" to the team, rather than any reference to this rivalry series.

I think a decorated broom would've been cool.  Sweeping the Knights at the endzone at the end of the game.
