Bianchi needs this game to continue so he can have a, "rivalry" game to cover.  Without it UCF is a mid-major every week.

Here's my reply to that article...

First of all, why was it the state legislature's business to FORCE an FSU/UF series? Didn't they have more important issues back then?

Second, like you said ... "FSU didn't win any of the first six games, but then started to pull even with the Gators."

Why should USF give ucIF a similar platform from which to build? It's not USF's job to help other schools out!

No other BCS program has an annual series with a non BCS team, why should we?

Texas v. Rice, but that's an old SWC rivalry that stuck through conference realignment.  I'm being pedantic, I completely agree with your point.

You are sadly mistaken about this series. The UCF-USF had the makings of FIU-Miami more than FSU-UF. There were more fireworks off the field than on. Continuing this one sided series would only lead to fights in the parking lots and a brawl on the field, no doubt fueled by the hatred and jealousy of the Knight fans and players.

The knights were given four chances to make a case for a "rivalry" game. They failed, all four times.

Disagree with you. With the upcoming USF-Miami series, that will turn into something a lot bigger then the USF-UCF series. I think the legislature knows that.
