Cancelled Game: Would We Make BCS Title Game?

With all of these storms floating around out there, there is the real possibility that we could have a game postponed, or possibly cancelled this season. What do you think the chances are of an 11-0 USF team making it into the BCS Title Game? If it were an inferior opponent (UCiF, FIU) do you think it would help us in the computer polls? How would the human polls treat it? I am interested to see what everyone thinks.

we'd make up the game, it would definitely mix things up for the game, but not sure how much it would effect bcs

The only games that could be canceled that would effect our chances to make the title game would be Kansas, Pitt (if they don't tank), or Rutgers (if they don't tank), UConn (maybe).

If we had UCF or FIU canceled, I don't think it would have an effect.

Those games would be made up...even if you have to play on Tuesday afternoon.

The problem lies with open dates and schedule conflicts. By playing WVU on Championship Saturday, it precludes us from playing any games in the last week of the season. I do not believe that NCAA rules allow for games after that final week, unless they are bowl games. If UCiF does not have an opening in their schedule to play us, that game may very well be cancelled. Then what?

I don't know what would happen, but 2 days before the season, no thread should include the words "cancelled game".  :-\

At this point it's very very speculative. Neither Atlantic storm likely won't hit and Gustav is no mas a problem

If it's UCiF, just reschedule it for somewhere around 2075. Maybe they'll have a team, and water fountains, by then.
