They've only made their way to one tailgate of mine this summer so far, but my current grill obsession is a simple shrimp recipe--get peel and eat shrimp (my local supermarket has them on special once every few weeks or so, they get kind of expensive if they're not) peel them, put them in a plastic bag with some Old Bay (season to taste) shake 'em up, and put them on the grill on skewers. They make a great appetizer (or if you're obsessed enough, the only thing you eat).

Land and Sea bacon cheese burgers...they mix chopped bacon and shreded cheese in with the burger.  Best tasting thing to ever come off a grill.  :-*

I do one thing, and one thing only.

Beer brats. They take about 6 hours to prep (mainly boiling) the day before and then you just pop them on the grill for about 10 minutes.

So good.

Supposedly chicken phillies are on the menu for our tailgate.  Along with burgers, potato salad, 7 layer dip, and veggie pizzas.

I'm just bringing the grill and all the toys.

There are only a few things I will prepare in addition to brats.

Chicken, burgers, hotdogs. Any of these fancy foods you guys speak of may be supplied by my underlings.  :)

Hit up Schiller's Deli on Manhattan and El Prado (south Tampa).  They have THE best bratwurst (imported) in the world.  Really hard to f*ck up, just grill at medium high heat.... Throw in some good German Beer (they have just about all of them) some German style potatoe salad and a few brachten (sp? crispy/soft rolls) and well that's as good as it gets for the tailgate menu.

Only problem is they close at like 5:00 everyday and aren't open on Sundays :(

Awesome, thanks. Just made a note of that. Already bought all my stuff for this round, but for the Kansas game this might happen.
