80mins Posted August 27, 2008 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 2,363 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 11/30/2005 Share Posted August 27, 2008 They've only made their way to one tailgate of mine this summer so far, but my current grill obsession is a simple shrimp recipe--get peel and eat shrimp (my local supermarket has them on special once every few weeks or so, they get kind of expensive if they're not) peel them, put them in a plastic bag with some Old Bay (season to taste) shake 'em up, and put them on the grill on skewers. Beer brats. They take about 6 hours to prep (mainly boiling) the day before and then you just pop them on the grill for about 10 minutes. So good. They have THE best bratwurst (imported) in the world. Really hard to f*ck up, just grill at medium high heat.... Throw in some good German Beer (they have just about all of them) some German style potatoe salad and a few brachten (sp? crispy/soft rolls) and well that's as good as it gets for the tailgate menu.
