TAMPA - The University of South Florida men’s soccer team will kick off the regular season against Bowling Green. The Bulls, ranked 18th in the country, will take on the Falcons on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Pepin Stadium. The game will take place at the University of Tampa’s Pepin Stadium, due to the continuing construction of the USF Soccer Stadium.

“Everyone we have on our schedule, is a fun and exciting game,” said USF head coach, George Kiefer. “We look forward to play Bowling Green. They have had a successful preseason and I think we’ve had one as well. I think both teams are looking forward to get the season opener underway.”

The last meeting between these two teams was in 1988, where the Bulls came out victorious 4-0.

USF ended 2007 with a showing in the Sweet 16 and ended the season 14-6-2. USF returns nine starters including senior defender Yohance Marshall, who is picked to the preseason BIG EAST defender. Also returning are senior midfielder Kevon Neaves and senior forward Jordan Seabrook, who were selected to the All-BIG EAST Preseason Team. Marshall has been selected as a 2008 First Team Preseason All-American by College Soccer News Neaves has been selected to the 2008 Men’s Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List.

USF finished preseason 1-0-2 with a key win over No. 8 Maryland. The Bulls also finished the preseason with a pair of ties, matching the University of Tampa, 0-0, and the U-17 Venezuelan team, 1-1.

The Bulls will return to the USF Soccer Stadium on Saturday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. where USF will face the Panthers of Florida International.

You might get a billion priority points for that one.

You got that right.  I imagine there will be like 10 people in the stands and they will be the players' parents.  Shoot, the girlfriends will be at RayJay.
