Just went through some depth charts.  Doesn't look like Ben Moffitt, Ray Rice or Steve Slaton will make their squads.  Kevin Smith is listed as first team for the Lions.  I was hoping these guys would do well and send a statement that we are putting out quality players in the Big East.

wow, I figured someone would take Ray Rice...  Slaton I can understand. Rice is better than K Smith.  Smith couldn't run agaisnt us but Rice did a great job.

Ray Rice is listed 4th on the Ravens chart at RB and 3rd at KO returner.  Adding up the 1st and 2nd team players on offense, defense and special teams, it just doesn't look like he will be making the final 53.  Same with Ben and Slaton.  They are still listed, just way, way down.

I don't know if I would trust those yet...Rice started for Baltimore last week and is listed as No. 2 on ESPN's depth chart.

For Houston, I see Slaton listed as 3 on their depth chart, and he also go significant carries in their game, so he will likely make it, especially with Ahman Green as the starter there, they will need some depth.

Big Ben may not make it though. I am also a little worried about Trae, but hopefully he will hold on as their other back-up corners didn't look so good last week and Trae did have a pick (though he was beat on the route and just got there in time for a tipped ball).

All three will continue to play in the NFL, if not where they are, somewhere.

The lions have no backs or a running game.

They were just talking on ESPN the other day about Steve Slaton possibly getting quite a few carries this season. I don't remember who it was, but they said they could see the Texans 3 guys, one of which was Slaton, and letting Ahman Green go

Smith had a big run for a TD for the Lions in one of their preseason games.

he has looked better than both Slaton and Rice.

you are extremely confused....

Both Ray Rice and Steve Slaton will EASILY make their teams... Slaton is competing for a starting/major role in houston by major role i mean splitting carries with ahman green and chris brown... Slaton is seeing tons of action in the preseason and ray rice is the future starting tailback for the ravens.
