Dublin (Ga.) High OT Trent Barnes verbally committed to the University of South Florida, Dublin coach Roger Holmes told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution Wednesday.

“He enjoyed the relationship he established with the people who recruited him,†Holmes said. “It’s a successful Top 25 program that has the opportunity to win a national championship.â€

Nice rep with an Atlanta area HS coach.

Actually Dublin is a pretty rural area in GA. I used to spend a lot of time in Sandersville (about 30 miles from there), it kind of right between Macon, Augusta, and Savannah.

Reason for saying that is that I know there is some good football in that area. Robert Edwards, former patriot RB and Terrance Edwards UGa/Atl Falcon receiver are both from the Sandersville area. I think it's pretty cool that a kid in UGa country holds us in such high regards. I don't think I have ever seen any article/blurb about an OL that doesn't give ht/wt...odd
