Linebacker Reed Williams, one of the few returning starters for a West Virginia defense that played better in 2007 than it had in years, is expected to miss the season opener against that football powerhouse known as Villanova.

Williams had offseason surgery on both shoulders, and is still recovering.

He was the leading tackler for the Mountaineers last season.

Villanova is a good program with good size and good speed. they are well coached with good players..................... all i am looking forward to picking out a hat and starting punt team. ;)
