I am constantly thinking that is the reason they love to use BBQ as a blocker. I am by no means an expert on football but I am curious what everyone else's thoughts are on our O-line compared to other O-Lines in the top 25. How do we compare? No idea how they compare to other top 25.

If the line stays healthy they should be good but if they start to drop like flys we could be in trouble.

If we have a few injuries we'll be in trouble.

We've been using Schmidt at Tackle(he played the position quite a bit last season). Can not handle Tackle injuries as we did last season.Go BULLS !!! How do we compare? The line wasn't "bad" last year... the OL was depleted by injuries. Huners, Capogna, Walker, Dile, etc all missed some games because of injuries... heck, before Walter Walker went down against Rutgers, they had like 1 sack; after he was hurt, they picked up six more.Like others have said, if the guys avoid injuries, this will be a very good OL. If we get three or four guys hurt, we could have some rough patches... and need to play a little more two TE sets with a good blocking back. We are proven everywhere else. Our entire D may be better than last year's and we are loaded at the skills positions. If the O line can open some holes and protect Matt we're in for a great season. I think the same could be true this year, the line should good provided they can avoid the injury plague that struck last year

I think the same could be true this year, the line should good provided they can avoid the injury plague that struck last yearwe were 6 - 0 until the injuries to the OL took affect. At that time, we started having more turnovers, and losing games. We lacked sufficient depth last year in OL in that we would lose a 290 - 310 lb lineman, and replace him with a backup 260 lb guy. That does not allow a QB or RB's the time they need in the backfield. We have better depth now, and are healthy, so that is the good news. That being said, our depth is newer/inexperienced guys. We have to hope our OL stays healthy.I believe the OL health was the single most contributing factor to our losses last year. The second half of the season we were not the same team as the first half, due to this issue.
