08/09 bowl projections

I know its extremely early to predict but I was on Phi Steele's website

USF vs Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl..........

But we can have fun waitng on Fay to get here!

Anyone have vary early predictions?

He also has Wvu playing in the sugar bowl.  No likely that the big east gets 2 bcs games, especially if one of them isnt the championship game.

how so? if both are 11-1, big east champ gets automatic birth, and if the other 11-1 team is ranked high enough they get the at large bid

usf's SOS wouldnt be good enough if they lost to wv and wv won big east

That depends on what our OOC opponents do in the games they play besides USF.  For example, if Kansas is a contender again this year and if ucIF wins CUSA again.  If the WVU game is the sole loss, the possibility exists.  I would say that the possibility is slim, because a loss at that point in the season would likely result in enough of a drop in the polls to knock us out of contention for an at large.

Also depends on how pitt, rutgirls, Cinci, and UConn finish their seasons and how they do in their OOC schedule.  If all of them are top 30, we lose a close one to WVU, we could be top 10 still and WVU top 1 or 2.  It could happen. 

One obstacle, winning 11 games..  The target on our backs is much larger this year (starting as a top 25, ending last season after being 2, etc..)  No one will overlook us anymore - and most will do anything to beat us.

What the hell is all this talk about losing to WVU! I don't see that happening! These bowl projections are a joke! Florida vs Ohio St. for the national championship, give me a break!!
