Guest BasketBull.
We hardcore fans on here may not care that much about preseason polls (Coaches' and AP), but it's so important to the health of our program:1) There's a lot of attention nationally -local stations always talk about the top 25 during the sports segment.2) Recruits will look at it and it helps that much more to see USF on the top 25.3) Local area fans will want to come out to games and maybe get some USF gear because they want a winner.4) Donor pocketbooks open up more: it's easier to ask for dining room money, etc., if you're on the polls.5) And retailers across America will start stocking USF stuff because of the attention....lots and lots of positives to be on the polls. I think I've heard "nationally ranked Bulls" in season ticket ads for about a month now. Whatever gets folks into the stadium for the first time, you can bet it won't be their last.
