Media Guide Comments

I just received my media guide and wanted to make a few comments:

Positivies:

The graphics and layout are very much improved, overall.

The player profile pages are top-notch with a improved player pictures and action shots.

The stats pages for last season and history are always a fascinating read.

Not-so-positives:

I really, really don't like the glue binding and am not sure why they went away from spiral binding.  I'm not sure how the 'media' feels about it, but I'd think that with the new binding, it will be difficult to keep pages open plus taking up more dieskspace.

I also miss the full page review and analysis of each opponent for the coming season.  Showing their schedule for the current year and last year's results were useful, as well as stats of key players.

At the end of the player profiles, it gives a few pages devoted to newcomers.  Problem is, I didn't see any indication that this was who they were.

As someone mentioned before, it's a shame that only the covers are in color.

In the past, they've made glue and spiral in same year.  The media gets the spiral.  I will bet that is the case this year Ricky.

Are they ever going to be available at the bookstore or on campus somewhere else? My mailbox leaks (my tix were wet) so I don't want the media guide mailed. I would much rather pick one up.

While that is very helpful.  It still doesn't tell me if they will have Media Guides available on Campus.  ;D

Media Guides are mailed in a plastic cover ... leaking mailboxes are no problem 

BULLieve the reason why only the cover is color, because it must be equal and some schools may not be able to pay for multi color pages.

I don't miss the season previews, leaves more BULL space. They did do it on 2 pages, 178 & 179 - gave me what I wanted.

I'd drop the Tampa & Pro Sports pages.

Overall VERY happy with it.
