Bellamy's USF commitment now 'very soft'

Ah, recruiting. It's hard to keep up with Dunedin running back Adaris "Darius" Bellamy, who was USF's first commitment toward the 2009 class back in spring. Bellamy tells the Times' Bob Putnam that his commitment to USF is now "very soft" -- if I'm counting commitments, that's "very nonexistent" -- and that he'd like to visit Iowa State, FSU and Florida, though only the Cyclones have offered.

Bellamy is a four-star recruit, so losing him would be significant, but USF has picked up another running back commitment since Bellamy in Tallahassee's Bradley Battles and remains in the hunt for several top-tier backs. Onto the links ...

I was wondering when the fact that we have 8 running backs on the team coupled with the 4 we've got verbal’s from would catch up with us.

Not good.  I hope he reconsiders and makes us his final choice.

I believe that he might also have trouble qualifying here so that might be an issue too. Anyways I just think it's because we're getting so deep at RB. As long as Battles stays commited I'm not worried. Don't forget we've still got D. Murray also.

I like Bellamy but just from things that I've read I won't be surprised if he doesn't qualify.

If you want to know more, I would highly recommend getting a Scout account.  Those guys do a great job of getting information that isn't available anywhere else.  It ususally shows up here or in the media, but days or even weeks later.
