And with the JuCo DT that should be here this fall, feeling our guys up front will make some noise. And potentially, all but 1 will be returning for 2009.

I think the D-Line should be pretty good this year too, but next year is a concern.

Selvie and Buie will be beasts at end.  I expect a breakout year from Buie, and Selvie will keep getting better, but probably less productive as I'm sure he will be double teamed all year.  Bedford and Marshall should add quality depth, but I'd like to see how they do in Fall camp before I count on them too heavily.

Harris is solid and the only one proven at DT.  But between McClain and Genus, I hope NT is fine.  Expect good things from both, but will see.

Definitely going to need some new guys to step up and provide depth this year and get ready for 2009.

At least there is some beef on the roster!

And with the JuCo DT that should be here this fall,

For those who haven't heard, DT Anthony Jones, 6'2 300 pounds, will be playing for USF THIS season.

Fonua has moved, he's a DT.  Personally I hope that Anthony Jones can make a splash because he could provide solid depth at DT.  That would allow us to move at least one guy back to OL in Jackson or Esenor.  Oh, and I'd be surprised if Sampson and McClain are both over 300lbs by fall.  The staff wanted them at or below that benchmark by fall practice to help with their stamina and mobility.

No worries about DT.  More help is arriving in the near future.  It's clear the intent of the staff is they no longer want to see games like RU happen again.  Genus is learning well, smart kid, they're not looking for a Clebert type at NG to play with reckless abandon.  They want someone to clog the middle, give TWO blockers fits, and make it difficult for runners to find lanes inside.

-- One more new walk-on I've been meaning to mention: Defensive tackle Anthony Jones, who played for USF assistant Mike Simmonds at Jefferson High, is expected to join the Bulls from Foothill College in northern California. Jones signed with Colorado State in 2006 but wound up at Foothill, where he earned All-NorCal Conference first-team honors in helping Foothill to a 10-1 record last season. He finished second on his team last season with nine tackles for loss, six sacks and seven hurries, ending up with 35 total tackles. It's always tough for walk-ons with only two years of eligibility, but he has good size -- 6-foot-3, 305 pounds on last year's Foothill roster -- at a position that lacks depth. If he can play even a small role, it might allow a true freshman such as Danous Estenor or Jatavious Jackson to redshirt.

Selvie will go PRO after this year.  If Dingle went pro from WVU, why do you think Selvie would stay when he is so hyped?  May as well make plans to replace him as well.

Thanks for the concerns and we're on the way to doing that.

So, you're doing that ehh?  Just gonna run the kid off like you don't want him ehh?  If I was Selvie I would just sign with a FA right now and skip the pain that USF will endure this coming season.  WVU gonna put a pounding on you beeeyatches!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
