It’s difficult to believe Selvie had just one Division I-A scholarship offer – and he was originally recruited as a center.

But it’s all true, along with his eye-popping statistics from last season – a nation-leading 31.5 tackles for a loss, along with 14.5 sacks.

The Big East Defensive Player of the Year is no longer a secret. Now he’s the focal point of everyone’s game plan. Sleek and speedy, the 6-foot-4, 242-pounder can be a nightmare off the edge, but he must also show improvement against massive, physical offensive tackles.

I think Selvie is good and he had a great season last year. But I am not sure he is capable of living up to all this hype.  He is fast off the line but he is also significantly undersized.  He does not command a double team and he can also speed rush his way out of a play.  I hope he does well this season but he will have a lot of hype to live up to.
