Tiger Stadium (Death Valley), LSU .68924. Kinnick Stadium, Iowa .69723. The Rose Bowl, UCLA .70422. Mountaineer Field, West Virginia .71621. Husky Stadium, Washington .73320. Scott Stadium, Virginia . 74019. Los Angeles Coliseum, Southern Cal .74218. Memorial Stadium (Death Valley), Clemson .74517. Lane Stadium, VA Tech .75916. M.M. Roberts Stadium (The Rock),Southern Miss. .76915. LaVell Edwards Stadium (Formerly Cougar Stadium), BYU .77114. Sanford Stadium (Between the Hedges) Georgia .78013. Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Texas .78512. Beaver Stadium (The Beav), Penn State .78811. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee .79610. Jordan-Hare, Auburn .7969. Kyle Field (The 12th Man), Texas A&M .8018. Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Oklahoma .8057. Bulldog Stadium, Fresno State .8085. (Tied) Ohio Stadium (The Horseshoe), Ohio State .8285. (Tied) Michigan Stadium (The Big House), Michigan .8284. The Orange Bowl, Miami .8483. Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida State .8582. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (The Swamp), Florida .8631. Memorial Stadium (The Sea of Red), Nebraska .893 Now this list may not be in accordance with the worst places to play in respect to the players’ and coaches’ opinions. But these are, by the numbers, the best home records among major college football teams in the past 25 years. *South Florida has a home winning percentage of .812 but was left off the list due to the fact that they have not been in the BCS division for the past 25 years. LSU was the toughest and UF was #2. Interestingly enough their Top 25 didn't include Iowa, UCLA, Washington, Virginia, Southern Miss, BYU, or Fresno State. I tend to agree with the ESPN one more than this one, although they have some places that don't belong in the Top 25 either.

Winning games over programs, you're supposed to beat anyway means nothing to how the home field factors in, but games that are supposed to be fairly evenly matched or that you are supposed to lose says alot about homefield advantage. For that matter, losing games at home to teams you should beat by a touchdown or more should count against said advantage.

That is why they are not in pro stadiums. they also attract way more than a typical pro field will hold. Not to start the OCS again.
