Jim Leavittt Look-Alike

My wife and I were at a recent Richmond Braves (Triple-A affiliate for Atlanta) game.  I look to my right, and do a double-take when I see what appears to be Coach Jim Leavitt.  Same nose, same hair (a bit more platinum, but very close).  I snapped a couple photos to show you folks as I know how slow it gets around here during the seven months or so that aren't football season.

I would have snapped more photos, but my wife told me one of the girls you see in between me and Bizarro-Leavitt was getting all freaked out and paranoid because she thought I was taking pictures of her.  :  I'll tell you, some people have a mighty high opinion of themselves.  :nope

So here they are.  What do you think...could this guy be Leavitt's twin separated at birth, or what?

Yes, it was.  Although, they usually get pretty decent crowds anyhow.

They've been here since the mid-1960's, and lifelong Richmonders have grown up loving them as the hometown team.

They're leaving after this season due to a prolonged feud with the city government (which I attribute mainly to Mayor Doug Wilder, who is a cantankerous old crook).  Their new home will be just outside Atlanta, which I think is pretty gay.  Who's going to go to a Braves Triple-A game when they can drive a few more miles and see the Big League Braves? 

Anyhow, the illustrious Mayor Wilder is convinced we'll have another team here before next season.  I'm not so convinced.

I was at a Richmond Braves doubleheader a few years back.  The crowd was nothing like the one in the picture.  It was against the Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit farm team).  Toledo was loaded then.  I believe they had Granderson, Thames, Carlos Pena, and a few others that made the big leagues.  Richmond lost the DH by a combined score of something like 22-0.

I think it should go on a tee shirt or they shoudl make them as a doll, akin to teh Bucs/Gruden/Chucky dolls.  It is freeking hilarious...
