Good running attack would be oh so helpful vs UL.  This would be a good game for "Run Ricky Run" Ponton to break out but alas Thed "We don't Need on Education" Watson may have put the kibosh on that possiblity.  >:(

Wasn't Ponton nursing an injury over the summer?  

He was nursing a joint  ::)

Anyway, for some reason he's not finding the holes.  There also seems to be a lack of holes when he gets the ball.  When Grothe runs the ball, it throws off the defense....they're not sure whether to cover Grothe on the run or down the field for the pass.  He opens up our offense.  I just hope he doesn't get injured from running the ball so much.

Is it possible that the coaches know something we don't?  Is it also possible that they don't feel it's necessary to inform the general public on all of their personel decisions?

Or is it the play calling by the Rod?  I'm still not convincend that our game plan is a little too predictable and "gimmicky".
