Cold and slick balls are good for the bulls, since we run the ball more than throw.

UConn's QB is a 3rd stringer... they'll have trouble throwing as well.  They've got soem good backs too, but Hall is in a seperate class from them.

UConn has lost 4 straight and will be hungry for a win.  We need to come at them hard and fast.  Using the speed on this team to attack the backfield and make big plays will be huge this game.  

This weekend is the time to prove that we can play in any situation, including the snow.

Omni, thanks for the update... was not aware of that.  That would certainly make them more dangerous, but he still isn't anything near Orlovsky from last year.

Although we have a speedy offense, lets not forget that our guys will not be used to running in these types of conditions....they're not going to be as fast as usual.  I have a feeling this one is gonna come down to special teams.  Look how huge Bronson was in the Cincy win...the last thing we need is for him to pull something in that cold weather.

I wonder what the coaches are doing to prepare these guys for the weather? If I were Coach Leavitt (now I'm being dead serious here) I'd have my guys conditioning a few at a time in one of Publix's large walk in freezers! Or why not hold a practice inside Forum? It's supposed to get pretty cold in there.

or just practice outside because with the cold front coming in, it should be pretty cold in tampa and they could get used to the cold weather that way

OK, so put Hill in at QB and either he runs it down their throat or hand it off to Hall and Ponton and have them run it down their throat.  Or pass to flats to one of them.  

Jeez...edsall doesn't suck THAT bad.  Do you have any idea how much cover 2 with heavy blitzes we'd see out of that?  Ugly.  You have to put one up now and then...successful or not.

Wouldnt mind the out routes and more posts and corner routes being added in addition to what we do.  Still, the focus shold be on the run most of the time .

I dont think it will be a factor. everybody makes a big deal about the cold but a question?  how many games has UCONN played in the cold? I'm not sure but it will be cold to them too. granted we are from florida and all but it wont matter...hello 7-3

Biggest thing that sticks out to me is the fact that of UConn's 4 wins, three have come against 1 win teams (Buffalo, Syracuse, & I-AA Liberty).  Their other win is against Army.  Weather may be a slight factor, and can be an equalizer, but based on the caliber of their opponents, we should be able to pull this one out.
