The game was already listed as either Thursday or Saturday. I'm surprised they decided so early.

For home games when you can tailgate I hate Thursday night games but away games and no tailgating makes Thursday much less dreadful.

In order to get drunk enough to merit taking Friday off I would also need to be off on Thursday

I suspect that expected continuing issues/restrictions with Covid protocols may have something to do with needing to give teams more time to prepare for travel this season, but that is pure speculation on my part.

I lost track when it was the Erin Andrews curse.  Too many curses to maintain.
