Can anyone confirm if players tested positive or not? Canceling FAU was extremely stupid and irrational unless players tested positive but it is being kept secret. https://www.wtsp.com/mobile/article/sports/football/usf-fau-football-game-postponed/67-f894b9f5-6088-4c2e-90d7-714fdc4ffcc6 Edited September 27, 2020 by Gismo

As a result, contact tracing needed to be performed and instead of risking the health of USF and FAU football players, who might be positive but not yet tested positive, the game was cancelled. Notre Dame has paused all football related activities and took it so seriously they didn't reschedule their game against Wake Forest, scheduled for yesterday, for an open date both schools have available next weekend. This was likely done in an abundance of caution, and administrators likely believe the risk wasn't worth the benefit. I doubt there was anything nefarious here. The world has gone insane. That is all.

Maybe pulling back to see if anyone shows up w the crud and practicing more for the Cincy game would be a good idea. Playing FAU w/ the old home week scenario of JL and WT would be nice and generate some interest but, being as prepared as possible against Cincy would be the better choice. Conference. Cincy could be another whoopin in the makin if we cant put a competitive team on the field. Cincy looks good. FAU could be another possible exposure situation for your players in a County that has been a hot bed of the big C

Quite. Watched Cincy yesterday they are good. Once their QB calmed down and got in rhythm Army had no answer. Tough to watch Cin and ucf even tulane doing so well compared to us. Tulane should be 3-0 right now. Just about every AAC team is on the up side.

FAU is somewhere in between.

Pretty clear that CJS and MK accepted this proposal with the understanding that there will be a return game...which will be worth a lot financially. Of course there is no guarantee the game happens but both were obviously willing to take that chance.
