Mack (Charlotte, N.C.) earned a spot on the team for the first time in their careers, while Madut Akec (Bradenton, Fla.) Xavier Castaneda (Chicago) and Antun Maricevic (Zagreb, Croatia) qualified for the team for the second straight year.To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in an American Athletic Conference sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade point average of 3.00 for the preceding year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits.During the spring, the Bulls posted a semester-record 3.45 grade-point average and ended the academic year with a 3.02 cumulative GPA. In addition, 13 student-athletes earned a spot on the USF Athletics Honor Roll and seniors Laquincy Rideau (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and Maricevic both graduated with a bachelor's degree. In addition, USF also posted a perfect single-year APR score for 2018-19.USF was also recently recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as recipients of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
