Former Hillsborough HS qb leaving Virginia Tech....another one who shoulda stayed home? We were high on him coming out of high school, could be good receiver

Lawson, a 6-foot-6, 231-pound rising sophomore from Tampa, Fla., failed multiple drug tests during his time with the Hokies and would've faced a suspension if he'd stayed at Tech, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Glad he didn't decide to stay home and waste a scholarship here.

Pass

Feel for the kid, but it also looks like grades are an issue, and the ability to learn the play book.

That's a lot of gambling...if he even WANTS to come here.

Very big athletic guy, but lets remember we already have awesome QB depth with JR Flowers, SO Woolard and Kean, AND Fr Oladakun. I could see him transferring to USF if we offered QB, but I doubt he will come here to play another position. If he does, come on back home brother

I might let him walk on, but nothing more til he proved he deserved to be here.

Seems CWT requires discipline and accountability.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
