The 15-year, $280-million deal his school signed with Under Armour this week ranks as the largest shoe and apparel sponsorship in college sports history. The resulting agreement will pay UCLA $15 million in cash up front, said a person with knowledge of the negotiations who was not authorized to speak publicly. The school subsequently will receive approximately $11 million annually in rights and marketing fees. Under Armour has committed to supplying an average of $7.4 million in clothing, shoes and equipment each school year and contribute an additional $2 million over the next eight years for upgrades at facilities such as the Morgan Center and the Acosta Athletic Complex. http://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/la-sp-0525-ucla-under-armour-20160525-snap-story.html

We don't want to sign a long term deal with Group of 5 money. We either need a shorter deal (like 5 years) or some clauses that go into effect if we get called back up to the big leagues. Sitting with a Bulls Club person at the game today, he mentioned that UA doesn't have any other large school presence in Florida and assumes they will make a decent effort to retain us. UA rolled out the red carpet for those of us that got the tour up in Baltimore the night before the Navy game. Can't imagine they'll let us go without a fight. The opposite, I would bet USF's UA sales are way higher than UCLA's, I mean, heck, with USF there is what, 5 years of sales, UCLA is what, 1 day.
