Baseball Game on Friday Moved to 4 p.m.

TAMPA, Fla., MAY 19, 2016 – Due to expected inclement weather in the Tampa Bay area, the University of South Florida baseball game against UConn on Friday night has been moved to 4 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. beginning.

The Bulls will look to even up the series on Friday. USF will have right-hander and Golden Spikes Award nominee Brandon Lawson (Brooksville, Fla.) on the mound against Huskies’ lefty Tim Cate.

The series will still conclude on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Bulls will also hold Senior Day festivities prior to first pitch.

How does this affect the planned lifetime alumni game festivities?  Food/Beer etc.  Is that also pushed back to coincide with the game?  I would assume that, but we have not seen an announcement from the alumni association about it.  Anyone know?  If so, we're going to miss the first 4 or 5 innings.

Just got the official email from USF Alumni Association:

 

Dear USF Alumni Association Life Members:

Due to concerns about possible inclement weather tomorrow evening, USF Athletics has moved tomorrow night’s baseball game against UConn to 4 p.m.

As a result of this change, the USF Alumni Association Life Member Appreciation event will begin at 4 p.m., with check in starting at 3:45 p.m.

If you can't make it for the first pitch - no worries. We’ll have plenty of barbecue and cold drinks waiting for you whenever you arrive tomorrow evening.

We realize this is a last-minute change and appreciate your understanding. The USF Alumni Association looks forward to seeing you tomorrow night at the baseball stadium. Thank you for your Life Membership and support of USF and its Alumni Association.

I wonder if they watch the same news channel that we watch.  As of this morning when I awoke it looked like the future cast had almost all the showers gone by 6:30.  Go to the computer and see an email making the game earlier and more likely to be affected by rain.
