Williams is one of 52 players now eligible for the 10-member WBCA All-America Team. Williams has been a WBCA Honorable Mention the past two seasons, and has been an All-Region selection both years. The senior is guaranteed to earn All-America honorable mention status by her selection to the all-region team. She is one of six guards in Region 3 to be recognized. Williams rewrote the USF record book over her four years, and this season scored a new program-record 763 points, the only player in the American Athletic Conference to surpass the 700-point mark this season. Williams set the previous record (710 points) in the 2014-15 season as a junior. The guard set a new standard as the only Bull in program history to reach 2,000 points (2,304), 900 rebounds (931) and 300 assists (318). Williams scored in double figures in all but one game this season, recording 23 20-point contests and five 30-point games. Williams was a unanimous American Athletic Conference first-team honoree this season, and was the conference’s Scholar Athlete of the Year. The Bulls ended their season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament and Williams, along with the rest of the senior class, ended their four years as the most successful class in program history. The Bulls continue to climb in the polls, and have reached their highest rankings in program history. USF has been ranked as highly as No. 15 in the Associated Press poll and No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Poll this season; both are the highest rankings in program history. USF has appeared in both polls every week and placed as highly as No. 11 on some ballots. USF has made 12 postseason tournament appearances and had four NCAA Tournament berths in Head Coach Jose Fernandez’s 16 seasons. The all-time winningest coach in program history, Fernandez has guided USF to seven 20-win seasons, two WNIT final four appearances, the 2009 WNIT championship and won more than 280 games. – #GoBulls –
