Also, predict where USF will be ranked in preseason (including others receiving votes) and predict if USF will end season ranked in top 25. Go. Next year's schedule: Towson N. Illinois AT Syracuse FSU AT Cincinnati ECU UConn AT Temple Navy AT Memphis AT SMU UCF

I'll go with a solid 10-4 year. 9-3 on the regular season, a loss to Houston in the conference championship game, bowl win. A final ranking of about 23 to sneak into the polls for our first end of the year ranked team. Edited March 14, 2016 by JTrue

Guest
The analysis below is based on two factors: the 4-2-5 defense remains AND Taggart continues keeping the playcalling wide open. Also, I reserve the right to change my mind after both spring football AND summer camp. [After each game I put estimated ranking] vs Towson - WIN - USF has turned the corner on FBS teams. [Getting votes: #30] vs N. Illinois - WIN - USF gets a good test with the Huskies. They get a QB recovering from an achilles issue and have to replace some key pieces on defense. [Getting votes: #28] AT Syracuse - WIN - Yes, the Orange have a solid new coach, and a QB that looks promising. But the rest of the roster leaves much to be desired. [#25] vs FSU - LOSS - I would really love to make this a "toss up" - the Seminoles have to find a good QB, their OL needs to be rebuilt, and they have to replace Ramsey. But... Dalvin Cook. This will be closer than people might expect, but I am going to put this down for a loss at this time. [Getting votes: #34] AT Cincinnati - WIN - So normally the Bearcats have USF's number in the Queen City... and yes, Tuberville gets Gunner Kiel back... but they lost their WR corps and their defense, well, it wasn't THAT good last season. [Getting votes: #27] vs ECU - WIN - The Pirates have a new coach, new OL, and new LBs. USF won on the road last season against an overall better team. [#25] vs UConn - WIN - This might be the toughest AAC home game, as Diaco has the Huskies rebuilding. Gonna be a defensive struggle - might be the two best defenses. However, their offense is still a bit of a work in progress, even with Newsome and Shirreffs returning. [#22] AT Temple - WIN - Yes, the Owls offense is coming back... but their defense has a lot of big holes to fill. This won't be a blow-out like last season, but USF should be able to win the game. [#17] vs Navy - WIN - The Midshipmen lost almost all of their offense after last season - so despite the triple option offense, USF should be in a better position to win. [#14] AT Memphis - WIN - Replacing Lynch will be tough for the Tigers, and their defense allowed almost four TDs per game. The building confidence in the Bulls brings USF to victory here, [#12] AT SMU - WIN - USF clinches both the East Division and hosting the ACC Championship game with a win over the Mustangs. Chad Morris is still purging the June Jones mess, and recruiting his players... just not enough of them to beat the Bulls. [#10] vs UCF - WIN - Sure, the Knights would love to knock USF down a peg... and they'll have a surprising season, but they just don't have the players to run Frost's offense yet. [#9] vs Houston - WIN - USF wins the AAC Championship game over the Cougars in a tough game. If this was in Houston, it would be more of a toss-up; however RayJay is rocking sending the Bulls to a 13 - 1 season. [#7] vs Tennesee - LOSS - USF gets the New Years Six bid and goes to the Cotton Bowl to play the Volunteers (who won the SEC East but lost to Alabama)... and the national perception is that little USF can't hang with the big boys -- but the Bulls make a great game of it, and lose to the Vols by less than a touchdown. Fiesta Bowl hosts a CFP semifinal game this year. The "open" games on the New Years Six are the Cotton, Rose, Sugar, and Orange bowls.
