  1. Even though it's a horrible stadium, their overall facilities would be enticing IMO to an incoming frosh (whether an athlete or a general student). That was a well played promo on their part. The dancing in the reflection pond had my mind wandering about all the fun that could have gone down that day. Their on-campus pools are pretty pimp IMO.

the stadium and overall game-day atmosphere is FAR better than USF's and all of you going this year will see.

    Get it^

It's about creating an overall atmosphere and culture on a Campus. It's not about just 1 facility, I would still take BHNS even if Jerry World was built at the site of the Citrus Bowl.

  2.

For example every member of the BIG12 plays in their own stadium so I don't see that changing.

I hope you had a towel nearby after you typed that sentence, as much pleasure as it likely gave you to type it ...

it's true just like AAU is for the BIG10. The ACC seems to be the Power 5 that takes the metro schools that play in NFL stadiums off campus. I don't see the BIG12 doing that, It's the 2 big dogs Texas-Oklahoma with the rest being mostly around 50K On Campus Stadiums

  3. amazing how people can participate in this thread and STILL think that performance on the field is some sort of big factor that these conferences care about.

Utah and TCU's invites into the Power 5 were very performance based. It depends on the conference and whether it fits their profile. For example every member of the BIG12 plays in their own stadium so I don't see that changing.

You guys rag on that stadium all the time but is it really any worse than what UConn has?

South Carolina fans had mostly positive reviews of UCF's stadium and they travel around to SEC venues. The South Carolina game was also a Noon kickoff in the September heat and they were still mostly positive. USF is the only fanbase that complains about our stadium

You can sling that somewhere else... I know quite a few fans who came down for the game... the word high school was actually used to describe your stadium.

suuuure you do. Again it's just USF keyboard warriors that have a hard on for anything UCF and can't admit that our Gameday experience and campus blows USF's away. Why don't you worry about getting more than 300 students to your next home game and overall actual attendance above 20K. Got to stay above those D1 Attendance requirements

A South Carolina fan that travels to campuses around the country wrote this about UCF's stadium:

Inside the stadium, you'll find the concourses and gates are wide and easy to navigate. You can enter any gate and walk the concourse all the way around to get to your gate. Restrooms are easy to access, and lines at concessions aren't too long, which helps to avoid holding up walking traffic. Overall, flow is generally a positive.

We could have been an amazing team this year and still lose to UCF, and the law of statistics say it is bound to happen sooner or later - why not let them EARN theirs, at least it will be during one of our worst seasons ever (if not the worst) and it will be on their home field (though there will be a day they'll beat USF in Tampa). Let them hang their hat on beating the worst USF team ever, and get it out of their system.

And right now, other than RU and UL, no one is heading for greener pastures.

what a mistake taking orlando school off our schedule

we dont have an amazing team and they will cream us this year

they have passed us by also

UCF has beaten a team that was decimated by scandal, Akron and FIU..... and they're about to get ***** slapped by South Carolina... how has that passed us?

Also, they've been playing for decades to.

For a lawyer you're not very smart....

You guys just lost to FAU and got your manhandled at home at a IAA team & your downplaying a 3-0 start?

no, we're downplaying your trash program that has existed for 18 seasons longer than ours has, and is just now finally getting close to our level.

what does it say about UCiF that your program, from a broad view (not just 3-0 vs. 0-3), is just now reaching our level when our level is at its lowest in history and yours is at its highest.  your best is barely = to our worst. kudos.

UCF has been D1 since 1996. If you really want to count the other 20 years when the administration had no intention of taking Football seriously go ahead. I'll gladly be a proud UCF fan despite a lot of tough losses, there is actually a culture of pride in our school regardless of what happens on the field

If UCF beats SCAR this weekend they could see a 2007 like start similar to the one we had. Would Penn St or SCAR be their Auburn?

PSU would be the Auburn.... paper team... even AU fans will admit their 2007 team wasn't that good and PSU has been decimated since the scandal. Saturday wasn't that big of an upset... if UCF is as good as they say they are they should have won that game going away.

You obviously didn't watch the game, the game was not as close as the final score. UCF was up by double digits on the road at night in front of 92K fans the majority of the game till about 8 minutes left where a couple freak plays or bad calls made the game look a lot closer. The BIG refs called back a Bortles TD run that didn't have enough evidence to overturn that took 4 points off the board then UCF had a bad snap on a punt that led to a gift wrapped TD for Penn State so 11 points given in about 30 seconds. South Carolina is just playing with house money, our fans know the talent the Ole Ball Coach has on that team

  9.

You know how far we have fallen, We have to make fun of UCF 's stadium because we most def cant make fun of their football team. They are 3-0 with a win over PSU.   Beat SC on the 28th and they are in the top 25 easily( they are just sitting outside now).

We on the other hand  are horrible.  We luckily will be relegated to ESPNU hopefully so no one will see the 20,000 fans show up ( mostly Miami) in out stadium on a hot Noon game in Sept.

Who was making fun of their stadium? Truth... it's all aluminum and looks like a Wok... Truth... that much sun on that much aluminum will be hotter than hell at noon time.

Honestly I think SC runs away with this one... PSU is way below average and they haven't beaten anyone else.

Penn State's QB is just a Freshmen but he is already better than any QB on Michigan State's roster. He made some throws
