Taggart did the same sort of thing last year by taking the interview with South Carolina. While it sucks to know your significant other is having dates with another program, its not something he hasn't done before.
At the very least, if we need to rebound, there's plenty of options for an attractive-up-and-comer such as ourselves. We look pretty good right now.

Of all the schools, I couldn't see Taggart going to Oregon. He'd have absolutely zero connections up there in terms of recruiting. Not to say the challenge wouldn't be enticing

Am I seeing things or are Brown and Black stepping up at Defensive End in the last couple of weeks? Seems like we are getting a little bit more pressure on the Quarterback. If so then Woodie will magically become a better DC..
One of the reasons for the better play on the line has been rotating more guys in. It gives our guys that little bit more oomph that can matter on certain downs.
I think the defense has looked better since that Temple game. Woodie has came down to the field and the players have reacted positively to him being there.
the defense managed to produce 8 turnovers over the final 4 games, with a +4 margin after the UCF game. Can't blame the defense for the 4 turnovers (the Adams fumble with UCF, and the wonky plays with SMU for example), but we can credit Nichols for his 3 INTs.
I'd love to see coach maybe bring on an "assistant" that can help mentor or advise Woodie. Like a stake for a growing tree.

Here is what the College Football News is projecting for the two teams in our conference champ game.
Navy vs North Texas in the Armed Forces Bowl
Temple vs WKU in the Boca Raton Bowl
For us, Boston College in St Pete Bowl, which at least is a better match up.
Nothing new,but the AAC needs better bowl games.
Go Bulls!
Temple v WKU would be a very good game.

You guys joke, but winning the incoming bowl game would likely leave us ranked at the end of the year... no reason to believe there'd be a drastic shift going into next season. If we finish 11-2 we should be starting next season ranked.
Starting in the top 25 and potentially running the table would likely give us another 2007-type scenario, where the dominoes fall and pave us a way into the single digits. Obviously the SOS would eventually get in the way, but that's going to be the main way we'd have to take to make it into those big time rankings.

I want to know how on earth LSU is ranked ahead of us
After already being ranked, they took out ranked Texas AM. I know everyone griped about them being ranked last week, but them winning would keep them ranked.

Coaches has us at #23.

Behind Nebraska, in front of Iowa and Utah.

Literally the bottom 6 of the Coaches poll lost today. In 15-25 the only winning teams were 17 WVU and 18 WMU. VT, Stanford, LSU, and Navy all took care of business this weekend, so you have to think they fill those shoes accordingly. But then do we get a nod?
8/10 of the bottom of the top 25 of the coaches poll lost. That should give us some leeway.

You think Vandy has an outside shot at one of the playoff slots?
Probably looking for all of the bottom top 25 teams to lose so that we rise. Addition by subtraction. I wager most everyone has done the same, including myself.
With Utah, Wazzu, Boise, Tennessee, UNC, Houston, TAMU, Arkansas, Nebraska, even Auburn losing, USF could receive more votes by them dropping.
Though, Iowa's big win over Nebraska will probably garner points. Same with Pitt's recent success. So we'll see.

Pretty big jump from #9, but at least they don't have to depend on ECU to get there...
To be honest, if
1) Colorado beats Washington
2) Clemson loses
They may have a conversation starter. Most likely will end up being in the Rose Bowl vs Penn State or maybe Wisconsin. Hell, Ohio State is a possibility too.

Be careful what you wish for, the game's at the wok next year.
In any event, CGD's not coming to USF-UCF on Thanksgiving weekend until both teams are top 10 together. Too many other important games that weekend
Well if The Game doesn't have significance ever.. /s
Great to see the players embracing the trophy, loved to see Taggart punch it in. Too bad we couldn't hang 50+ on them.

he was down. the UCF player had his hand in the basket and popped it out after we hit the ground

We're reviewing something

lol their returner stepped out of bounds
-
That may be his best run.
Put that one on the highlight reel!
-
Behr with his first made field goal. I'll take the points.
-
these drives keep failing because we keep throwing a vertical route and only leaving us two downs to do something.

AND SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy for the TD, but I'd really rather he just fell on it...
Great Defense there!
First scoop and score this year?
That ball was bouncing well where he could pick it up in stride. I'm OK with that.

If we lose Taggart, it will kinda suck that Cincy is looking for a coach too. But I still think we'd end up with a great coach.
