Tampa is a transient community and those who move here are often very unlikely to transfer their allegiance. Thus we have all the Red Sox/Yankees fans for baseball. Lots of FSU/UF grads on the college football side. The teams here are young for the most part, with only the Bucs old enough to have adults who grew up with the team, the Lightning just starting to reach that point. Gary Bettman in defending the Phoenix Coyotes says it takes a generation to build a fan base. The Lightning are probably the most consistent attendance wise. The Rays attendance woes are national news in the baseball community and we've seen Bucs attendance plummet as the team has tanked. You may call it excuses, I call it the reality of the situation.

Personally I think 20k in the seats to watch the USF Bulls at this point is pretty darn impressive.

Spent an enjoyable hour reading their forum. They are already recognizant of how bad Holtz is.

It is almost a mirror image of here though. Some people calling for his head, some people saying the cupboard was left bare.

Given that we are paying Holtz I almost wish he was here to suffer with the lack of talent he recruited.

I didn't see the game last night, was at Disney, but from what I saw the first two games when I saw the scores my first thought was "Skip Holtz has destroyed this program."

There is a lack of talent that is simply unforgiveable.

Are coaches just not seeing the lack of solid effort from Davis? Or the poor skills of Welch? Were swapping out QB's, what about WRs?

When you lose 2 WR's over the off season, you're not going to be very deep.
