I think he should go. He is either good enough or he isn't. If he is, he will be fine. If he isn't he will fall away. If he was drafted in an earlier round next year its the same story, but he will beat himself up for another year and his coach left so a new staff is a big question mark.

Except that's not how the league works...you're not given nearly as many looks or patience if you're a lower draft pick, compared to a top rd pick. This years draft is loaded. Honestly, I'm befuddled with the decision.

Intimidation at its finest, even better than the made up line of Jim Leavitt saying he was "the most powerful man in the building".  Still stinks of a set up, wouldn't you agree?

And Matt, if you would have spoke up, it would have meant so much.  You had far more credibility to the program than Joel, Colby, or Brett.

Wish I would have now being a little older and wiser.

Well, it does.  I'd be interested in funding a 60 Minutes type expose on that whole mess.  I was thinking of seeing if Greg Auman would be interested.  Or  a couple of the old TBO writers looking for some extra work.  It would go a long way to heal the wounds if simply the truth could rule.

I still think you would have a select few who would be extremely biased. But yes, I have talked to guys before and we always thought it would be a 30 for 30 one day.

Well you didn't speak out.  Outside of this incident you were the leader of the team.  On this, you were mum at that time.  It was suggested you weren't favorable about JL at the time.

I wasn't favorable??? What was me speaking out going to accomplish? 'Let's listen to a kid that was 300 yards away from the situation', that to me doesn't add up. I did my part and answered questions off of what I was told by other players that spoke of the situation. Besides that, I had nothing else that I felt I could do at the time. We were told we were being questioned by high officials and lying underoath would result in punishment, kind of hard not to stay quiet when that is thrown at you at 22 years old. I was scared to death when questioned and I wasn't even Inc the room for it all. I love Jim, wish him nothing but the best and hope he gets a shot to be a HC after what he did this year.

I always thought you were manipulated or taken advantage of during this time.  Wouldn't you agree?

I'm happy to see you speak truth.  Players that were afraid to speak the truth publicly spoke it privately.

What do you mean by taken advantage of? I was hurt after game 3, I didn't really have any other chance but to heal up and miss the rest of the season.
