How did that work?
I think it's great to be fully owned by Bulls and having no connection to a third party. Congratulations!
Corey and I wanted to control as much as we could in the end and wanted as much of the proceeds as possible to go to the kids. Corey is one hell of a dude and I was glad he wanted to go that route. They accepted it.

I might ask mattgtothe to join us for a conversation. Because 95% sounds ideal but if they paid out that much out of what they’ve collected so far the payments for a few twitter encounters would probably e mean thousands of dollars per player for a Twitter space.
That was a number mention around launch.
Most of the money is recurring payments, there have been a few that have just made one lump sum to the collective, but most of it is a recurring cycle. We’re not where we want to be yet, but it’s definitely moving in the right direction. Anything helps.

This was where it was at when it was running through Dreamfield. Corey and I have since purchased the entire collective from Dreamfield. It’s 100% ours now. Which now makes fees very minimal, which is why I spoke out on the 95%+ number

Hey all, I know that twitter has been a rampage lately, some good, some great and some . I just wanted to make a post and say that this is huge for our school. We are in a time with a handful of schools being next in line and realignments coming in the next 3-5 years where we need everything possible to be the school that gets into what I think and believe will be a “power 4- 16 team per conference powerhouse”. We can’t afford to be left behind, with the IPF built and the stadium in the works, WE HAVE TO COMPETE IN THE NIL(and obviously on the field), at the Highest level! If you have any questions or concerns please reach out and I hope everyone is on board to help these athletes and our school. Again, I can’t reiterate how important these next few years will be for us as a university. Those who get left behind in the next alignment will have little to no say of ever going UP. GO bulls!

I think it was a little more complicated than that…
It’s a lot more complicated. But as long as fans and alumni get on board, this will be huge for the future of the program. We have to get wins and recruits now, with the stadium coming in the near future and realignments happening within the next 5 years, we can’t get left behind. Go Bulls

One of the best people I’ve ever been around in my life. Named my Pup I got in college after Keeley and my newer pup is named KJ for Keeley Jr, for him and my old pup. He was always a warrior and wanted the best, on and off the field.

Glad you support Pat. I think he will be a good fit. I just wish it was QB. I love ya Matt...you were always my favorite. If YOU SAY you can go in their and coach the QBs then I guess I really can’t argue against it.
Appreciate it, never said I could do any of that, just made a point that ex players are always your best bet when coaching. Just look around the country. There’s a lot of ex players that are having tremendous success.

Yet do they know anything at all about coaching???
Ex players always make the best coaches bc they’ve lived it, that being said, this is a great hire for our university. Pat has done it all and is a great person.

It blows my mind how many guys on here try to hate on players who played on the team you “love”...

They should hold something similar to an exit interview that you might have at a former employer-- where they are introduced to all these types of things-- and perhaps even asked to provide a non-USF.edu email address for future contact. I would also suggest they give every athlete a free one year membership to the Varsity Club after they leave the school. This would give them the attachment to the group and the benefits of it to both educate them and also encourage them to continue the membership after that free year.
Mile, I love that idea. Let them see the benefits and then they can make their decision the following year. Nice. You’re hired lol

I definitely use that email still
Not gonna lie. Me too. It’s actually my main email. When people ask what my email is and I tell them, I get the ol’ you still have that?!

It seems to me that an ex-player who wanted to make sure they stayed plugged in would have joined the Varsity Club. They would've gotten all the information they would need for tickets and other events.
I can tell you that 70% of players don’t even know what varsity club is.

Duh! Since when has USF Athletics been limited to sending emails only to usf.edu addresses?
...point went completely over your head. If someone who used to play, has always been able to show up and get tickets. Why would they all of a sudden update an email address when they didn’t know they didn’t have free tickets anymore...

Communications has never been a strong suit of USF Athletics, however if a player doesn’t keep their email/snail mail address up to date with the AD you can’t blame the AD for not keeping them informed of changes in policy.
Lol, how many people do you know that still have @mail.usf.edu emails?
-
I think the biggest factor that everyone seems to be missing is that a lot of guys didn’t know they didn’t have tickets anymore. I get/got asked by a bunch of people before the first game, “How do we get our tickets this year”, because a lot of guys don’t have emails hooked up to Usf anymore or live out of town. It would be pretty ****** to not know they changed the way you can get tickets and show up with a little kid thinking you were getting into the game like the past. Just my 2 cents.

Apparently, they did it to multiple former players. I don't think we will receive an answer on this though.
We no longer receive tickets to games. So yes, it’s true.

Listen, it is what it is and I might have stepped on some toes, but whatever. I ‘pissed’ off some people and got backlash from “fans that will never back the FAC again”. Did I go overboard? Possibly to some point….But apparently they come in all different shapes and sizes, not one person who complained has ever donated a DIME TO THE FAC and honestly that showed me all I needed to know. That’s why I deleted every tweet and let it all go. Love my school, the real fans and most of the fake ones too. People that want to ***** will *****. Life is life. Go Bulls. Ps. After reading some of these replies, I really should be on here more. I love the interaction.
