I might ask mattgtothe to join us for a conversation. Because 95% sounds ideal but if they paid out that much out of what they’ve collected so far the payments for a few twitter encounters would probably e mean thousands of dollars per player for a Twitter space.

That was a number mention around launch.

Most of the money is recurring payments, there have been a few that have just made one lump sum to the collective, but most of it is a recurring cycle. We’re not where we want to be yet, but it’s definitely moving in the right direction. Anything helps.

I think it was a little more complicated than that…

It’s a lot more complicated. But as long as fans and alumni get on board, this will be huge for the future of the program. We have to get wins and recruits now, with the stadium coming in the near future and realignments happening within the next 5 years, we can’t get left behind. Go Bulls 🤘🏼

Glad you support Pat. I think he will be a good fit. I just wish it was QB. I love ya Matt...you were always my favorite. If YOU SAY you can go in their and coach the QBs then I guess I really can’t argue against it.

Appreciate it, never said I could do any of that, just made a point that ex players are always your best bet when coaching. Just look around the country. There’s a lot of ex players that are having tremendous success.

They should hold something similar to an exit interview that you might have at a former employer-- where they are introduced to all these types of things-- and perhaps even asked to provide a non-USF.edu email address for future contact. I would also suggest they give every athlete a free one year membership to the Varsity Club after they leave the school. This would give them the attachment to the group and the benefits of it to both educate them and also encourage them to continue the membership after that free year.

Mile, I love that idea. Let them see the benefits and then they can make their decision the following year. Nice. You’re hired lol

It seems to me that an ex-player who wanted to make sure they stayed plugged in would have joined the Varsity Club.  They would've gotten all the information they would need for tickets and other events.

I can tell you that 70% of players don’t even know what varsity club is.

Duh!  Since when has USF Athletics been limited to sending emails only to usf.edu  addresses?

...point went completely over your head. If someone who used to play, has always been able to show up and get tickets. Why would they all of a sudden update an email address when they didn’t know they didn’t have free tickets anymore...

Communications has never been a strong suit of USF Athletics, however if a player doesn’t keep their email/snail mail  address up to date with the AD you can’t blame the AD for not keeping them informed of changes in policy.

Lol, how many people do you know that still have @mail.usf.edu emails?

  8. I think the biggest factor that everyone seems to be missing is that a lot of guys didn’t know they didn’t have tickets anymore. I get/got asked by a bunch of people before the first game, “How do we get our tickets this year”, because a lot of guys don’t have emails hooked up to Usf anymore or live out of town. It would be pretty ****** to not know they changed the way you can get tickets and show up with a little kid thinking you were getting into the game like the past. Just my 2 cents.
