  1. Congrats bulls...our team choked and was very inconsistent. Your team has speed and blistered us on defense.. hopefully our coach can better discipline this team and have a better performance than the one we gave you today.Good luck!
  2. true and false there...the backup played till the end of the first quarter and then Maynard came in. He is the full time starter. He missed much of the first quarter but came in a minute and a half to go and his first pass was a 20 yard bullet to his wr.
  3. Hey guys. Nevada fan here just wanted to stop by and see how things are around these parts.I also wanted to get to know a little more about the bulls knowing how we play them next week. Ill start off with my analysis on my team. QB- Fajardo is a sophomore and is living up to the hype of being as great if not greater than Kaepernick. In his game against CAL he went 25-32 for 230 yards and rushed for close to 100. He is the real deal and is very accurate. During the off-season he was invited to the Manning camp. The last QB from Nevada to be invited to that was. Kaepernick. He is also on a couple of watch lists. He is not a big kid 6'3 about but this kid has some wheels and can throw darts. That was the most impressive thing to watch at the CAL game. Fajardo was throwing perfect passes to his WR and TE that I didnt see Kaep. do until he was a SR. RB- Stefphon Jefferson is a tank at 5'11 220 pounds. He knows how to barrel himself through the defense and is also a little shifty. One thing that worries me though is that he doesn't secure the ball very well. Yesterday he dropped the ball twice on critical plays. He did rush for almost 150 yards. Which is pretty darn good considering that's his first start. WR- Dangerous group right here. Wimberly just came back after missing last season due to a gunshot wound to the abdomen he is back and better than ever.He had 7 impressive catches for 83 He may be one of the best if not the best WR in the MWC.Aaron Bradley is the future star WR in the group and made some nice catches through traffic too. TE- Im going to say this is probably our best offensive unit. Arendse and Sudfeld are dominant on and off the line. Very exciting and clutch catches made me very impressed. I am so excited to see this guys play more. They are just clutch clutch clutch. Sudfeld has NFL all over him standing an 6'7 260 he has great hands and the ability to run block. OL-Barker and Nady are expected first team MWC by the end of the year. Both are very good lineman and are big boys. Nady stands at 6'7 and around 310. The o-line is called the Union that iis stacked with size and weight. 6'3 and 305 is the smallest they get on the line. The union is what makes the offense tick yet unfortunately they shot us in the foot a couple times yesterday with penalties and bad snaps. DL- Very impressed with the young squad. We had to replace 3 starters. But the new guys that took over especially FR Lenny Jones don't have me worried at all. The line will do fine and did very well stopping the run and getting to the quarterback. They are small, but they are also very quick and have been taught well. Secondary- Beware this is a SR laden group 6 of the 7 playing are SR's and they could be one of the best out west. Made very solid plays and played well in man to man coverage. Breaking up passes and stopping what could been big plays. Khalid Wooten would be who to keep your eye on. He is everywhere on the field and seems to be in every play. Overall this team has the goods to repeat 2010 (13-1) The passing and rushing attack is amazing and will cause havoc the whole season. The CAL game should have been a blowout. Nevada was down at the 10 but made a bad snap that took them all the way to the 35 or so on 4th. That cost them to score there. Also to many penalties IMO. We gave them 11 penalties for 110 yards. slice those in half and that takes CAL from 24 to 14. My biggest concern is QB position im very nervous about Fajardo getting hurt he tends to like to get into the pile. I dont want an injury from him or else we are screwd cause our back-up QB's are not ready. Fajardo will run. The key to your defense is to not let him get outside. He gunned for a 49 yard run yesterday to a TD and it was because he escaped to the outside, This Nevada team will be tough to handle up here in Reno. Im looking forward to a great match-up and wish all fans luck coming up here. If you have any questions about the team, food, hotels,or attractions up here ask!
