  1. We need depth and options right now at QB, right now we have a bunch of walk-ons and a shotgun only chucker.

I'll take what ever we can get to help us, and bringing in a guy who appears to take a snap from center and not have a guys who we all hope gets up after taking a hit (Eveld and Trickett) is fine with me.  I'm also fine with RS White to allow him to develop and really make a difference in the future rather than throwing him into the fire, especially when we have such a young running game too.

If he can play at Penn St, he can play here

  2. Hi there Bulls fans!  As a Broncos fan, I'm clearly here to learn more about one of our new rookies.  Kayvon really flew under my radar and it's been difficult to find out much information about him.  So, having watched his play in college, what can you tell me about him?  Info about both his strengths and what he needs to improve upon are appreciated--every NFL rookie has plenty of both to consider.  I will say that the pick surprised me because I felt the Broncos were already well covered at CB.  What I'm perhaps the most curious about is whether he could/should play free safety, or if that's a waste of his talents.  I ask that question because I am absolutely fed up with incumbent FS Rahim Moore (better known as the guy who made the worst coverage blunder in the history of the NFL playoffs) and I really want him replaced.  If Kayvon can do that, I will be quite happy.

Thanks for whatever you can tell me!

As an Alum and lifetime Bronco fan I can say we got a great pick here.  I heard KW listed on a lot of "experts"  lists, as a top up and coming players.  I think we grabbed him in the 3rd since we didn't have a 4th rounder and they probably didn't think he'd be there.

KW reminds some people as a Champ Baily type corner that isn't afraid to tackle, but he does need to work on cutting routes off and not getting frustrated.  USF had a lot of issues on D the last couple years and that led to some poor habits by a lot of players.

We will like his speed and toughness and with a year or two under Champ and not having to stress about starting his first year he could turn out to be a great CB

As a USF grad and lifelong Denver Broncos fan, I am very happy right now!  Welcome to the Mile High City Kayvon! It's great to have a Bull on the team.

+1, getting to learn under Champ and develop with DRC will only help him as well.  Glad to have Bull here again

Was there any other Bull (other than Andre Hall) ever at Denver?  I can't think of one...

He immediately came to mind, upon hearing of the Kayvon pick.

Nope that was the other one I was thinking of...too bad he had the fumbles he was decent here

  5. Having been recruited in baseball out of high school...USF has a terrible baseball reputation in the state and schools will steer players towards Juco ranks before sending them to USF because they can leave for the pros sooner.

When I was recruited by Cardieri, USF was too unfamiliar with me and I wasn't sold.  But I screwed up and went back to the school I ended up graduating from...just not to play ball.

So if the consensus seems to be recruiting, can we hire CWT part time to help get this program up and running.  Or find a staff that will to help change this.

  6. With Opening Day close, I'm getting the baseball fever.  So I've been looking at our stats the past few years and am blown away at the lack of wins and progress the program has had.  Why do we struggle so much?  This is isn't a rant on Prado or a reason to get rid of him...I'm just lost as to why a school like FGCU or even other BE schools can beat us down year in and year out.  Each year we seem to be around .500, what is it going to take for us to get over the hump?

If Taggert can come in and make a call to protect the local talent, why hasn't the baseball program done the same?  I played ball in the area so I know the talent level is plentiful, but it just seems like each year we struggle to get the right kids.  I know baseball is tough with other schools in the area (other big schools, JC's and D2 and such) and MLB, but I just can't for the life of me believe that we don't have a BE baseball title or even a post season birth.  Our softball team is making progress, yet baseball just seems to do the same thing each year.  I know when I was playing Prado was doing a good job at UT getting talent to come and play and they were winning, what has changed?  Is it the lack of committment by the Athletic Program and DW? Since, I'm not local anymore do kids just not want to play there?

My inquiring mind wants to know?

  7. The Bulls pride is slowly growing here in the Rocky Mountains, been seeing more and more USF license plate borders, stickers and even met a few alum/players.  The horns always go up with a honk or a "Go Bulls".

And I always take a few Bulls pieces to wear when I travel...airports, gyms or sports bars...you can always get a good conversation about us

  8. With all the changes in college sports and the other dynamics going on, I'm will to give DW a small pass.  He made a great hire in CWT, and seems to have some of the programs headed in the right direction.  Our facilities have seen a major improvement/face lift and our deal with UA has brought some decent national attention

But his job is to ensure our programs are set up to "win" and have long term/consistent progress.  Which is the biggest issue with him and our programs...

    • We need to start bowling and moving up in football (to get into a real conference)
    • Get back to the Dance, no more up and down seasons in hoops (both M & W)
    • Finally make it to the baseball tourney...baseball is such a no brainer in FL, why can't we get things going there just blows my mind?!
    • Get soccer back
    • Plus find some real effetive way to market the teams and programs locally and nationally
  9. No injuries...seems we lose one or two starters each year to something

QB, RB, CB and ST players (1st string and 2nd string)...who shows they are ready to take the role in Aug

Coaching styles...how are things going to change from the last coaching staff
