  1. Skip's coaching skills weren't THAT bad.....we ALL overrated our talent...ME INCLUDED. We need WVU/Rutgers level recruits to start with.....not to diss our current players but we can upgrade our trenches greatly! Ron would love to be here in Tampa and he brought the talent to freaking that Big 10 cesspool called Illinois which is AMAZING. I'll take boneheaded plays every once in a while if we have STUDS in the green and gold!!!!

  2. So I'm looking for 2 tickets to the game this Sat night for me and a buddy and keep coming up dry on the peeps selling them. I'm upping the ante and will trade my Ipad 32gig 3G that is under warranty and receipt for 2 decent tickets and a little $$$ to help for gas coming from north FL. I don't want upper bowl, but I'm not picky just something decent that we can enjoy the game at. As some of you know, I'm driving to philly/new york (temple game) next week so money is a tad tight.....thus this drastic trade. I can send pictures by request and peeps can text me anytime at 904-252-3298.

    Thanks,

    Moonknight aka Ben

  3. Average record? When more than 60 teams go bowling every year and we don't then I think the record clearly is below average. And in conference the record is abysmal.

I've been on other boards lately (Ark, Ken, Colorado, Cuse, Canes) and lets just say I'm proud to be a Bull and I'm proud to have Skip Holtz as our coach. He's a good man and we are lucky to have him...average record or not...stick with this man, email the coaches, tweet them suggestions. That helps out more then saying they need to be run out......

I meant overall record and I agree that we should be in a bowl game every year....but $#@# happens. We had heartbreaking losses last year that ripped the heart out of those kids.

  4. Improving is watching the film and making changes either with schemes or personell.......If our line isnt performing then we need to use our TE's for blocking. If our running game sucks, lets use the option more.....if BJ is making a ton of mistakes...then make him a "gamemanager" and start feeding the rock to lamar, freakshow, and dunkley and see what they can create with their speed. Lets see some gadget plays to loosen up the defense. I want Skip to blast into the senior leadership for mistakes and bench kids who won't listen!

  5. B.J has always been inconsistent. I wouldn't be surprised if he throws for 3 touchdowns against FSU and then 3 ints against Temple. You never know which B.J Daniels you will get.

He is what He is, we won't contend for a Big East championship until we have consistent play at the QB position. Hopefully Woulard sticks with us.

However, B.J didn't play as bad as the numbers suggest against Rutgers. There were some drops, tipped balls that lead to interceptions, and one interception that CLEARLY hit the ground. He played okay considering our complete lack of a running game and Rutgers solid defense. At least we are throwing the deep ball this year.

I want us to be more option focused and use BJ's speed to get the ball in playmakers hands.....

  6. I, like others on this board, have been negative after this loss. Some have been chastised for it in a few threads.

I had a realization. A few years ago we beat FSU at FSU. I stayed in Tally. After the game, many FSU fans talked with us, we were at potbellies a bar near campus. Most were very cordial and the common remark was something along the lines of "its okay, USF played great and we lose all the time". Bottom line, FSU fans had grown complacent and they could accept driving 5+ hours and spending$100's on hotel rooms and food, to watch their team lose to a newer/lesser program.

I don't want our fans to become complacent. Last year, for the first time in a decade and second in hour history, we had a losing season. No bowl game. Near the bottom of our conference.

We lost a winnable home game on Thursday night to a team we should have beaten. It was unacceptable.

We have proven under our old coaching staff we can have winning seasons, beat tougher opponents, and go to and win bowl games. We recruited talent, and the Leavitt years paved the way for the the Holtz years. The hard work was done. This coaching staff should be able to reap the rewards of the previous coaching staff.

But it appears we are heading backwards. I for one am okay with "appropriate" negativity on this board. We should never begin to accept losses, no matter how many pile up. If we end up with a 6 - 6 season or less, there is cause to replace the coaching staff.

I am realistic, I am not asking for an NCS. But we are sliding down tremendously and the head coach needs to be accountable. Losing sucks, and we are paying our money for something, and that includes performance acceptable given the conditions we are under.

For those of you who have voiced your opinions on here, thanks, they are warranted. For those of you who chastise negative posters, please stop. No one should ever have to accept sub-standard performance.

In different terms, if you had a horrible server and service at a restaurant, what would you do? Most would complain to the manager and might tip a lower amount. They would use their voice and their wallet.

I encourage everyone to be vocal about what your expectations are whenever you are in contact with those in positions of responsibility at USF. Losing is not going to cut it in year 3. We deserve more.

We were coming off being gassed and hammered 5 hours out west on a short week....the kids gave it their all....yes it was a winable game, but Rutgers defense is no slouch. They have our number like we had WV's number back when they had Pat White. We have to move on and improve!

  7. I've been on other boards lately (Ark, Ken, Colorado, Cuse, Canes) and lets just say I'm proud to be a Bull and I'm proud to have Skip Holtz as our coach. 8. Us fans by supporting the team even when we have bad games/seasons will help the entire program. There always could be a worse situation...we could be Col in Bolder or even Idaho, who are homeless. If we stay passionate and support the team, we will be put in great situations. Look at our neighbor in Orlando.....we are in a better position then them even though they are about to join the Big East. I get people complenting me everyday on being a diehard fan with my Bulls plate and flags....driving to NC, Tampa, etc. We can get angry at bad games and coaching decisons, but we need to fill up the stadium and get loud so we can continue to grow as a program......
