Not sure I was complaining - more of an observation. Fortunately USF is no longer a commuter school so not everyone who graduated from USF lives "within walking distance" anymore.

They do make things called automobiles, airplanes, buses, trains and cabs.   I flew 1000 miles to make the game.  Sure sounded like you were complaining or throwing shade toward those of us who attended IN PERSON .  And the commuter reference isn't necessary either is it?

Has anyone tried contacting USF Athletic Department or maybe even your season ticket rep. to find out who we could talk to about switching up the music?  It's great to talk about it on here, but has anyone been motivated enough to do anything about it?

Some Ticket Reps regularly post on here so they read the comments as well one would assume. ( my ticket rep post regularly) The music is fine as long as you choreograph it  with the Band, It should be played  before the game and  when the band is walking to their seats, Right before the half when the band is heading to the field for halftime, and when the band is taking a break.   Drowning out the band and fans from cheering is NOT the answer.  It makes us look like  a  JV league school or Arena Football.   It does very little to get the fans yelling and cheering.   Also I agree the HOT announcer is horrible and cheesy,  Has always been horrible.  I cant tell you how many people ( visiting fans/ friends) tell me how bad it sounds and makes us look.  " R U FEELING HOT"  "Away side" crickets, " Home Side " crickets.   Please make it stop.  Want to get the respect we deserve than lets start acting like a big time program in ALL aspects.

We're also playing for a better bowl, new team record in wins and for recruiting.

Unless the AAC does something differently than the BE and Other conferences, order of finish / wins don't always equate to better bowls.  Other than the Playoff and G5 New Years day that goes to highest ranked G5 Champ the conference can pick who goes where and they usually base it off several things:  who played where last year, ( dont like to send same team to same bowl multiple years in a row usually) geography, 9like to make travel easier for the schools and fans),match up with the team in the bowl( don't like to have two teams play that already played)  the list goes on and on,  Basically Wins don't always equate to Bowl pecking order is what im trying to say.   We could legit end up in St Pete or the worse AAC bowl affiliations unless we win the conference or make the playoffs.

  4. Seems we are defying all the old sayings that Offense sells tickets and Defense wins championships. (Don't want to rain on the parade here) but our attendance continues to struggle and it now appears we will not win the conference championship (Thanks Temple).

With that said I agree this was one of my favorite USF teams to watch  (other than the run to #2 And the inaugural season).  Don't know why more people haven't taken notice and jumped back on the train.  Has there been too much damage to ever fix the attendance issue?

  5. American Athletic conference is making its tour  tonight at the game bringing with them the AAC Championship trophy ( makes sense since the East (tied with Temple) and West Division leaders are playing tonight). They will be in the Bulls Zone 4-7pm so you can meet them and get your picture with the trophy.   Hopefully the Trophy takes up residence in Tampa at the end of the season.  Go Bulls

I have a sneaky feeling that the defense is going to step up this week. Don't know if it will be enough but I don't think we're going to see what we saw last week.

We better or we may not win another game this season,  Navy is Navy and will be tough for any healthy team to beat,  UCF Is playing much better and will be Jacked for our game esp after last season. Memphis is no cake walk either, (could go either way) and SMU just put Houston( the cream of the conference In their place).

I think "questionable" is being generous.   We were out coached the entire night on both sides of the ball.

I was trying to be politically correct lol.   We were most def out coached all game on all sides of the ball from the opening coin toss. Still scratching my head on deferring to the 2nd half considering our teams strengths?  Even Taggs admitted he was outcoached according to the Tampa Times article.     Such a promising season coming to a halt when things were lined up in our favor.   Sucks  This game is the difference between a New Years 6 bowl and the Beef  bowl now.  You can also kiss attendance good by minus the large influx coming from Orlando since they are riding high with another win today.

  8. Several things stood out to me last night that I would had done differently.

    1. I would had taken the opening kickoff. We have one of the best offenses in the nation, playing a run heavy clock eating team on the road. So why not take the ball,  hope to score and make them play catch up all night?

    2. Speaking of run heavy offense(Temple's) why didn't we stack the box most of the game?  The defensive play calling was atrocious and the players were out of position.

3.We also didn't make in game adjustments,  their full back was opening up massive holes knocking our defensive players on their Butts all night, so why didn't we dbl team him, or do something to slow him down or make him think twice about being the one to deliver the blows?(be the aggressor not the receiver of the punishment)

    4. When Flowers went down, and Keen came in, (why call a pass play on 3rd down from your own 1 yard line)????? Nothing good comes from it.

    5. The 3 and 4 bunch receiver sets were working than we switched to the run up the middle to NO WHERE to have too many 3 and outs.  That was horrible play calling by Willy.

6There were too many dumb penalties and mistakes as well,  You can blame the players but it is also on the coaching for not having them ready to play , in the right mindset  or in position to make the plays.

There were a few other things that had me screaming last night but cant remember them right now.

    Thoughts?

  9. Should be a nice night for our BULLS and fellow fans. Weather up here has been great and unseasonably warm this week( all year actually). We set record highs the last 2 days (about an hour north of Philly)( Lehigh Valley PA area).  20 to 50 percent chance of rain on Friday and Friday night with   A HIGH OF 77degrees  for tomorrow.( 10 degrees cooler than this week but still nice for late Oct up here in this part of the woods).

  10. to add insult to injury, Ill tell you our experience with the students.  We have had season tickets from the beginning, We were located in the corner where the visitors come out, by the tunnel. The school decided to expand the student section requiring us all to move to another section which we did (not by choice). We moved over one section. The first year after the move attendance was up and students kept trying to come into our NEW section and sit In our seats most games, they became rude, disorderly, and highly intoxicated which made the games too unenjoyable so we decided to move to the other end of the stadium where the Bulls come out the following season and have been there since.  We miss sitting closer to the band though.

Point that makes us a little peeved is that we moved not by choice in order to expand the student section only to watch it sit empty game after game, year after year. Kinda pisses one off. Students have NO EXCUSE not to support their fellow students , classmates and friends.

BTW agree its the Alumni and Students that need to start showing up, than the casual Tampa fan will join. BTW Im not a Student, never attended USF but have and continue to be a donor, season ticket holder in Football, Basketball currently (dropped softball)

  11. The league is the product of substantial turmoil in the original Big East Conference during the 2010–14 conference realignment period. It is one of two conferences to emerge from the all-sports Big East in 2013. While the other successor, which does not sponsor football, purchased the Big East Conference name, The American inherited the old Big East's structure and is that conference's legal successor. However, both conferences claim 1979 as their founding date, and the same history up to 2013.[5][6] The American is headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, and led by Commissioner Michael Aresco
