And on the positive side, I still think we have some good players with the ones remaining. For guards, we have Knox, Brown, Reid, and Jennings, which I think will be just as good as this year.
And we still have Walker and Stroud. I think the Reynolds get is huge. I am surprised he has not been playing more minutes at his other stops. I like his shooting percentages. For his career, he is 67% at FT, 55% FG, and 5-11 from deep. He has not shot from deep much, but it looks like he can hit them. He may produce better than Pryor did.
And I will take CAAR at his word when it comes to developing players. So, we may see a much improved Tobiloba.
So, I would be happy with a Knox, Reid/Jennings, Brown, Stroud, and Reynolds/Walker lineup. That group would be just as good as any 5 we put on the court this year. And who knows whom we could get from the portal. I think we are in good shape.
They way the players feel about the coach makes me wonder if all of these players would be leaving if the coach were staying.

I’m old enough to have seen Charlie Bradley play in person. This season is a dream come true . . . and there’s still more that can be achieved to make it truly epic.

You know, I may be missing something but I don't remember him thanking God for allowing us to win games. I think I remember him thanking God for giving him the ability to make a living doing the thing that he loves to do.
I also may be missing something but I don't believe he is the type of person who uses God for a crutch and is hedging his bet against loosing. I believe he actually trusts in God and is giving Him all the praise and glory for any success he accomplishes because he is actually grateful for everything God does for him.

Whatever this consolidation/breakaway/semi-pro league develops into, will certainly be a less attractive situation than what we have now.
That is an old school saying that stock brokers would tell you when they wanted you to sell a stock and buy something else so that they could make the commissions.

This is hard for me....top 25 ranking helps our case slightly for an at large, but should we sneak in, then a top 25 ranking won't help us sneak up on anybody come NCAAT time
I think that cat's already out of the bag.

Very good question.
While I would love seeing a regular season conference championship, there is something about playing in a conference like the Big East when we were in it.
It was great hosting Syracuse, UConn, Villanova, Georgetown, Pitt, WV, Louisville, ND, Cinci, Seton Hall, and DePaul. Rutgers was a pain in the neck, or maybe lower.

USF won the round of 64 against Temple. They lost in the round of 32 against Ohio. Yes. and tech kept us from the sweet 16!

In 2012 we were around even, maybe 5 and 5 on the OOC while Collins was hurt.
Then we were something like 12 and 4 in the big east conference. Un til then everyone who went 50-50 in big east play made the tourney.
We were stuck in the play in.
We won the play in, and the round of 64. With about 5 seconds left in the game, and I think a 3 point lead. Shot clock was running out when we made an alley oop, slam in. We held on the rim and they called a tech foul because he hung onto the rim.
We did not get the basket, they got two free throws and made them. They got the ball and made a quick shot to win the game.
I don't remember exactly what happened because I was sneaking out of a wedding dinner with the bride's dad to watch a 10" TV over the bar.

As a resident of Raleigh I can say ... no.
I mean it's not a 0% chance.... but there isn't enough sway to get ECU to that level. ECU doesn't carry that much influence in the state house.
My son went to NCState, and they hated ECU.

This was brought up and discussed in an earlier thread and we were aware of how these changes were (possibly) negatively going to affect us, I guess at the time it did not concern me because we were not on a roll, now it stings a bit. Not much we can do about it except keep winning and hope to escape this sinking ship, they can shove that p6 moniker straight up their ass.
NCAA cares about who brings in the most people, and who makes them the most money. They really don't care about who is the best, or who deserves it the most.

Doesn’t there need to be a builder before we can really determine the cost? $340m seems arbitrary.
No really, it is too much, they can just leave out the water fountains.

Fau game should be close to a sellout if usf continues to win games up till then.
It also might help if there is no parade, 24 hours of Daytona, or wrestling hoopla going on at the same time. Although the Daytona 500 will be here soon.

When it comes to Florida expansion for the B1G, Tampa/Miami makes far more sense than Tallahassee. If we can really continue to excel these next 3 years while FSU is in their legal battle - why wouldn't USF become a viable target for the B1G? Ultimately I think the best case scenario for USF is that FSU lawsuit takes a couple of years, USF (obviously) continues to win in media draw sports, we win our conference at least once in both sports, flirt with or make the CFP, FSU settles for a sum that no other ACC school can handle in the short term, and then FSU goes to the SEC and is paired with Kansas. This will not only open the door for USF to the ACC, potentially become a player for the B1G, remove the top remaining brand from the B12, stabilize the ACC further until nearly 2036, and (hopefully) increase support across the board for USF from fans, alumni, and local business alike.
Support, show up, donate. Go Bulls.
WOW. That took a ton of thought. And special logic. The kind of logic you get from the expensive stuff on the side of a mountain in Colorado, watching the sun go down, and come back up again.
Fun to read though.

How do you get a UCF cheerleader into church?
Easy. Just grease the door post, and throw a twinky inside.

We will be going to the conference championship.
My grandkids live in Dallas.
My son and daughter in law live there too but who cares about them?

Battie wasn't a backup .....
They need to consider coaches being able to lock in 22 players that can't be touched. However, it they lock in someone they HAVE to provide playing time or all bets are off.

Good list but instead of playing FSU twice, maybe we could have ND, Ole Miss, USC, Oregon, Michigan, and Ohio state.

Are you Ok with your wife/girlfriend/whatever stepping out to see if she can find a better guy than you?
Kids have 5 years to live their dreams of playing college football. Unfortunately, their dreams don't include being a really good back up to make us feel really good about our teams not falling off if our starter gets hurt.
Players do get hurt, and the second string has to decide if it would be better for him to be here in case the starter gets hurt, or does he have enough time in case the starter turns pro early.
College football in our passion but, it's their lives.
I really don't want my wife looking around however, if I had a backup wife waiting around, I would expect her to see if she couldn't do better.

I think they would go after Lane before Golesh. He can beat sec teams already with Ole miss talent and money. Can you imagine his offense with virtually unlimited nil deals and Bama recruiting classes? If they hire Golesh that would be crazy. They probably will hire someone with sec and experience at Bama.
IF Ole Miss's money man is out of jail, they will be hard to out spend him.
