Antonio Grier and Brian Battie received our NIL support. They did light posting prior to season. Because it happened so close to the season, I told them minimal activity was okay this time around. I really didn't want them on the main board, but they posted. The idea was to have a private club. But because we got a late start, we were unable to do it as expected. I didn't want to be a burden to them early in the season and as things went south, well... that's on me. Believe me NIL is new to the players and their representatives. I'll be looking at a better plan for the next 12 months.
Neato. So crazy that our forum sponsors players haha.

After I thought about that, I kinda started leaning the other way. Scott was more the program "manager" then while Elliott was the playcaller. As far as experience for a head coach, thats probably more beneficial then the gameday play calling experience (as long as he brings in a good OC that is). I think his dad coming along is another nice little cherry on top of this hire. Brings a ton of experience to help mentor his son on being a first time head coach.
Good points.

I hope he has aspirations beyond USF
Well, if he gets poached by a P5 program from USF, that means we have had a couple of 10 win seasons so

I like the hire. The only "concern" is the rumor that he was not the playcaller for Clemson, so not sure what to make of it. But honestly, a guy WANTING to come to USF is worth a lot more than people give it credit for. I mean, isn't that why we wanted CJL back? Someone who actually wants to coach here?

My positives: The attendance was amazing
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic. I went to one game, along with about 14 other people, and the games that I watched on TV were about just as empty. Sorry if I missed the joke.

Punter did very well I think. No issues there. Defense really gave it up imo. That and the refs with those couple of heinous calls.

if you ever want the team you root for to have an opportunity to play for a NC why would you want 4 or 6?
The playoff would have to expand to 128 for that to happen. No way a two and three loss team should be playing against an undefeated team for the title. That creates the scenario where "Yeah we lost, but it is only one. We can afford to lose one." Every game matters now. If we go to 8 and 16, it wont. Maybe if there were a bunch of undefeated teams getting left out, but I dont see the problem. The two and three teams sitting outside of the 8 or 10 or whatever will always make that argument. We have been doing two teams since the beginning, and now four isnt enough? In 2007 #1 seed LSU had two losses. Heck, the top six teams finished with two losses. At what point do we stop it? If USF wants to play in the NCG, stop losing games.

I could get behind the 6 team one, but that is the max for me. I think 4 is very good.

If I ever get the opportunity, I plan to start buying property in the area to begin the gentrification process myself.
Amen to that. Hipsters will flock to it like moth to a flame.

Not unless it makes them money. If that were the case theyd invite FAU, FIU, and FAMU into the ACC as well.

I agree with this. There is not one thing that gets you into a P5 conference but if there was it would be winning (and an OCS of course ).
1. OCS
2. Winning more than 4 games a year
When it comes to P5 invite. Obviously.

I always thought a Pentagonal stadium would be cool. Based on the "five-sided fistagon" from Bulls on Parade.
But I would also prefer something more old school like Duke, Virginia, or even Cincy than some of these super modern eyesores. So far all of our new facilities look good, so I feel comfortable that the admin will choose something reasonable that most people will be happy with.
